Update:

New mods 'TDE v5.1'

Added 'mp_mod_optional: true' to all 'TDE v5.1 (1.44 & 1.45)' mods (on post 2) as per the SCS 1.45 Blog so you can join multiplayer servers whilst still using TDE.
Added 'mp_mod_optional: true' to 'TDE - Cabin Camera Creator - v3.1 (1.44 & 1.45).scs' mod (on post 5) for the above reason.

Note: Convoy host must tick 'Enable Optional Mods' when creating the server.

SCS Blog: 1.45 Update Release.
"If you are a modder in our community, please note that your modification must be tagged as "mp_mod_optional" to be recognised as a MOD that can be ignored by a convoy server that allow for missing optional MODs."

That statement from SCS is rather vague, a map mod can't possibly be 'optional' for example, so i'm sure the game code must scan 'optional' mods for files that cannot be 'optional' and then block them.
With that in mind, my mods may or may not be allowed, now or at some point in the future.

Note: Using TDE v5.1 and game version 1.44 you'll see this harmless yellow warning in the log:
<WARNING> [unit] Ignored unknown attribute mp_mod_optional = true

Added truck 'Westernstar 57x' to menu mods 'TrackIR Driving Enhancements FOV xx - v5.1 (1.44 & 1.45)' so that it is now 'Supported'.

Added 'Westernstar 57x Passenger Seat and Sleeper presets' to the supplied "TDE - Passenger Seat & Sleeper Presets v5.zip" attached to post 5.

Amended line edit (config_lines[284]: "mix headtrz...) to fix a minor error.

How do I get the permissions necessary to download this? I have looked all over this forum and I can't find anywhere what to do.

For security reason and space on server posting files as attachements was disabled. Wait for the creator to post external links to files.

Ok. I just came across this yesterday and it looks so cool. Really want to try it out. Do you know if JHTrucker is planning to post links anywhere?

@northcoaster76 - If you don't have an account, which you didn't, you can't now see the files.
I can see my files once I've logged in, top of post 2.
But I guess I can't now make any updates...
TDE has been alive for almost 1 year and you're the first to comment, thanks for that.

I can't believe I'm the first! I literally registered on roextended just for this mod. I happened to stumble across it yesterday and I couldn't believe it, how has this not blown up? I was youtubing for it and everything and I couldn't find anything. I'm not sure why those links weren't showing up (I was a registered user but maybe too new?). Anyway, doesn't matter. I'm going to work through all the steps on this to get it installed. I can't wait to try it. I've been swapping to dev cam to do all of the things that your mod does and I am so tired of that but when I don't then I feel like something is missing from my game. Thank you for the huge amount of work this must've been!

Thanks for all your help. I have most everything working now after you sent me the controls.sii and I double checked all of the local config file edits. I have everything as you suggest but for some reason I cannot "walk" with the steering wheel. Every other action works perfectly except walking and using the pedals to move further/closer from the truck.

You may have reset the controls.sii edits when you added your wheel and pedals to it, check these lines still look like they do in post 2:

Just started the game up and it's all working like it should. I can't get out of the truck with the window up though, not sure if that's working properly but if I have to roll the window down to get out, I can live with that. Thanks!

No, you can get out with window open or closed... just like real life.
If you use 'look action' to get out, then you need to have the wheel centered otherwise it won't work as you'd jump to somewhere other than outside the door.

EDIT:
Pressing '4' will always switch to outside regardless of wheel position, as I didn't restrict that. But I always use 'look action'.

In fact, when I backup my trailer with the window open, so I can look behind, I then always close the window before I get out, strange habit. But either way is fine.
