@BenganJ
Can you confirm this?
No flipping graphics and no reshade required.
In game goto gameplay menu and select WAVES for the background theme.
Exit game and disable reshade. Start game.
I've never had reshade and never had flipping graphics. If HDR is off the graphics will flip so keep HDR on.

The question now is... will re-enabling reshade whilst using WAVES fix the rain and/or mirror problem?

@JHTrucker

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm off to test your theory right away!
Be right back! :D

EDIT: After testing I can report that the flipping graphics are gone,
but "rain in cabin" and Mirror Quality set to Low is still needed! I'll
add that info to the first post even if I will still use ReShade myself
as I use it in other situations too. THANK YOU for that good tips, as
we've seen the in-game menu background doing odd stuff before!

Thanks for confirmation.
Ever since those fancy backgrounds were added to the game i had problems with the game crashing or not loading when i was forcing AA (DX9) and so i just kept both ETS2 and ATS set to WAVES from then on.

Yep, I've seen many posts about those problems on the SCS forum, but
I never thought they could be the cause in this respect, so thanx a lot!
Now the user of this scheme can choose between ReShade with ONE
shader active OR forced to use the WAVES theme in-game! :D

@ BenganJ Sorry to be a pest... can you do another test?

AA bit 0x80000F7F

For the record my testing over the past months has been with ATS 1.36 as i've kept ETS2 at 1.35 (DX9) until a proper AA solution is found.

For me now all seems good.
HDR must be on.
WAVES background with no reshade.
Working AA - tick.
High mirrors - tick.
Rain on the outside - tick.
Sunshafts - tick.

Hope it works for you...

@JHTrucker

After the worlds fastest test, I can confirm your result in my special test profile.
BUT, now I want to make a test in one of my BIG combo profiles to see if it stays
that way there too! I've tested earlier both the F's in your pattern, but one at a
time and at that time this didn't happen, so here it might be the combination
that makes it work! Let me do some serious driving and I'll be back with a final
comment! Wish me luck and cross your fingers! :D

Good.
I'll check back tomorrow.

Just fiddling with your 0x80000072 and tried 7F which worked but broke vsync, adding the F in front of 7F fixed vsync.

i drove across Washington (ATS) for a full day night cycle.

Enjoy your drive.
