ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
@Wifiik - Glad that fixed it.
It can happen in any truck when your FOV/head/seat/mirror position isn't within the required parameters to display it correctly, but its rare.
When inside the truck the exterior of your truck isn't drawn, for performance reasons, and so the mirror has to render a scene that is different to what it looks like when outside, so it switches the truck exterior on/off as required, in the mirror when you are looking at it. This is probably an optimisation to prevent constantly calculating the mirrors with extra info when you are not looking at them.
Example: This is cam 1 when moved outside via extended TrackIR movement, showing no truck exterior.
So there may be a slight performance hit by disabling g_baked_vehicle, but I think your system won't even notice...
luckily for you I had the same issue when play testing this 'mirror adjustment mode' created back in August. The issue was caused when adjusting the mirrors far beyond what you can normally do via F4, but easily fixed... now.

Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
Since snowymoon over at SCSSoft Forum has made his TAA implementation compatible with multimonitor support, I prefer that method over the NPI Profile method I used before.
But the TAA implementation doesn't work with multimon mode 4 unfortunately.. only with multimon mode 2 .. but than my multimon_config.sii file doesn't get recognized and my proper FOV and alignment are screwed.
Is there any way to get this working with multimon mode 2?

Hi, I'm wondering how you guys are dealing with making screenshots. As I'm using multimon 4 to get the most accurate fov making screenshots has forced me to not only use lower graphics, but accept that I have to manually crop off the side monitors because they are misaligned and distorted when projected in one image. Is it possible to swap between multimons when making screenshots or somehow still allow me to make beautiful screenshots which I've always enjoyed doing before moving to triples.
Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
@oli4004 - I have no real interest in taking pictures of trucks... just like pretending to drive them!
But to answer your question, the only way I can think of is:
r_multimon_mode 4 <-- normal driving.
Use the console to make changes.
r_multimon_mode 0 <-- when you want to take a pic, but you'll need to force a reload (Or use 2 and set fov etc within your config.cfg).
Goto graphic options and change scaling from whatever it is to another value and click apply then change scaling back to your previous value and click apply... that will force a reload of your driving screen and you'll see the difference and then take your pic.
Change back to 4 and force the reload again...
Perhaps there's a better way?
r_multimon_mode 0 and then change game resolution to single screen.
Take pic.
r_multimon_mode 4 and then change game resolution back to triple screen?
I know multi screen users have requested, for years, that screenshots be auto cropped as if single screen because you can't upload them to the online WOT thing... I think.
Bit of extra info, if you didn't know this already.
You can have multiple multimon files, but the game will only load the one called multimon_config.sii
Console command - multimon reload - reloads that file.
So you'd then have to rename your files so the game loaded the one you want.
But SCS could have used something like - multimon reload "screen setup1" - for example, but they didn't.
Then you could have swapped back and forth a bit easier...

Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
First time posting here so I hope I found the right place....
Currently using Triple.AA V5 with 11.5 degrees and for the most part its looking quite good but I was hoping to get help on one thing
I sit to the left of the center monitor and was hoping there is a way to shift the interior view when it is first rendered from dead center to the left rather than using F4 and having things bend and get wonky
I thought perhaps to go into the multimon file and have a look..... normalized_x looked promising so I thought to change that number and test the view out but found that nothing happened regardless of what I changed the value to
Any chance of getting some assistance doing this? I am, of course, making the assumption that this can even be done
Thanks

@v1cv3ga5 - Yes you can shift it over, but it's not straight forward for multi monitors as the centre of projection, default being steering wheel, has to be moved.
I created all those files manually with trial and error process, the best thing for you to do is use a1337cookie's calculator and recreate the view with an offset.
See his links in this same "Tweaking Section".
You could try a 4 screen setup where your centre monitor is split into 2 smaller views and therefore you'd sit in front of the left side of the centre monitor looking straight at your on screen wheel/dash.
Monitor 1 = Left
Monitor 2 = Centre Left + Centre Right
Monitor 3 = Right
Note: You can't do what you want via modifying the games cam files either, as that will just result in the wonky view you see when moving sideways via the F4 menu.

Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
@v1cv3ga5 - Hey there, what you're looking to do is absolutely possible, but it's more complicated than editing one value. As JHTrucker mentioned, the easiest way will be to use my FOV calculator.
Although my guide focuses on getting a mathematically correct view, you can also use the calculator to create any setup you desire. If you're looking to keep what you have and just shift the whole view to the left, follow these steps.

- Open Hybrid Calculator
- Enter screen size, bezels, and resolution according to your setup
- For side monitor angles, enter 11.5 (or whatever you like)
- For FOV adjustment method, choose Target Horizontal FOV, and enter your desired value
- Finally, for the center monitor's Auto Alignment, choose LHD

Thank you both for the prompt replies.....

Well, I guess I'm off to bad start....
Measured out my monitors, figured out the angles and then went to use the calculator. When I click 'file' the 'make a copy' can't be clicked... It's greyed out
Maybe its a windows 11 thing?
I'll check out the guide

@v1cv3ga5 - Maybe you're not logged in? You do need a Google account to make a copy, since it will be stored on your Google Drive. I just assumed pretty much everyone has a Google account.
