For me this translates: we add more things to kill FPS to a game engine who is clinical death already.

SCS should not just destroy one core but should finally support several CPU cores.

Perhaps 1.49 is the new updated engine and this is the first of a number of blogs to showcase all it has to offer, including actual dark tunnels, some form of proper AA etc, before revealing that fact when OB 1.49 starts?
OR
They are just adding new graphic effects on their tired old game engine because re-writting game engine code to take full advantage of the available hardware (all cpu cores) is proving too difficult?
They already told us to be prepare to turn down settings in the "PC system requirements update" blog...
"we recommend adjusting and possibly further lowering the in-game quality settings to improve the framerate."
So the conclusion must be that your cpu will still be under untilised regardless of how new or how many cores it has.
OR
They are adding these new effects now to the old engine, whilst killing fps, so that when the new game engine appears everyone will be happy that their performance has improved back to 1.47 level!

I hope there will be a way to deactivate the weather effects, don't need this at all.

I dont buy the "new game engine" story, they will add this on top of everything.
Also...i see time wasted on photo mode, light "system", moon and other "nothings", the AI traffic is still dumb, long buses are still crashing traffic at any crossing...

If i was them, i would do the same...milking this game as long as possible...game engine...other story, other expenses...

Used Trucks will be available immediately in the main menu taking you to a selection of trucks that are more budget-friendly compared to brand new vehicles.
However, these used trucks come with some mileage and wear, which is indicated by their star rating and a separate window that provides a detailed breakdown of the damage to various parts.
