not all roads have that option. I dont know about SCS sidewalks i use FLDs center kerbs for that. I dont even know if SCS have sidewalks in "buildings".

Better option is to place a road with sidewalk material as terrain (to avoid those ugly green lines) noise 0%, and brush the grass after with ALT pressed.
You can use a stone barrier as kerb.

Just my two cents, but am I right in assuming that the editor
is not crashing any more? If so, I suggest that you continue
with the editor discussion in that topic instead. Other people
will look there primarily for information. ;)
