@Road Runner

Okay, I will test to set Mirror Quality to low and see if that helps, because
now I have got totally unusable mirrors and black texture anomalies. I'll be
back with report! :D

@Road Runner

The Mirror Quality setting of Low did it, which isn't a showstopper, but rain in
the cabin would definitely be one, so please, can you verify that? I will also test
with maximizing the rain probability! :D

@Road Runner

I have confirmed that it rains in the cabin! So, for now status is as before. I will
not change my recommendations yet, but I must say this is promising. Continue
researching for more info and I will try some other compatibility bit patterns!

===================== FOLKS! =====================

Due to the research by Road Runner we have now found NPI compatibility bit pattern
that works in DX11 and makes it possible to regain our level of antialiasing we had in
DX9, WITH SOME DRAWBACKS. We will lose mirror quality, which now has to be set to
LOW. There will also be a phenomenon of raining within the cabin, but is barely seen.
BUT, we will get rid of almost all flickering and shimmering in the scenery. It almost
feels better than in DX9! :D In game we have to set Scaling to 100% and disable SMAA
as usual. The NPI settings is exactly as in the first post, except for the two below as
follows:

Code: Select all

Antialiasing compatibility (DX1x) --------------------- '0x80000F72'
Antialiasing - Mode ----------------------------------- 'Override any application setting'
If we don't find any more drawbacks, I'm going to put this info in the first post, but
for now it would be VERY nice if as many people as possible could test this scheme
and report back here about the result. Thanks for your cooperation! To give you a
hint about how it looks I recorded this video. ENJOY!

@Tapir

As I said earlier, this is REALLY promising and let's keep our fingers crossed,
that there will NOT surface any new showstopping things! Hopefully several
people will test it and find it nice! :D

Further testing:

With antialiasing setting 0x80000211 I got success ;) , cause in ROS some snow areas flicker with 0x80000F72.
