The simple answer to your question mate is NO but having said that I do not have sufficient knowledge about the inner workings of games.

treat the vehicle differently? ANY idea is welcome!

I don't mean to interrupt you conversation with Tapir, Clear F1 and John H, but is this stuttering problem with an owned trailer only happening with people who have steering wheels or is it happening for everyone who has an owned trailer?

I don't know, I'm having no problems at all. If you watch my old videos you'll see
that I use my owned trailer, with it's own skin for a LONG time. I have all the
time had a wheel.

Sure, just get yourself an owned trailer and test, BUT before that you have to get rid
of the stuttering you have now. First, get a steady, constant FPS!
