Yep, I will do a complete reconstruction, from scratch. This time with a background map on the editor so I can match the real road.
Til then I'll try to make a decent background, got a nice how to by BenganJ (Thanks, Bro!) and I'll give it my best shot.

It's really nice to notice your new good mood and optimism! Sadly NONE of the guys,
that I have provided with a BG for ME, has been able to register that image properly,
so to avoid that you are loosing your good mood, I will do for you what I've done to
them, register the image, might even be a higher resolution one, and at the end you
will just have to drop 2 mods into the mod folder you use and start mapping. Ok?
I'll PM you when it's ready!
EDIT: I have now finished the registering of a higher resolution image in the Map
Editor for you FunTrucker_18. Just howl when you are ready to get it. :D

I loaded the map only and I'm baffled. It's great, very detailed but lemme ask you something.
-Does the BG map fit with the new projection?
-Can I change the resolution or is it my shitty laptop? I can't read the city names

That's a problem because higher resolution means bigger sized image and there is-Can I change the resolution or is it my shitty laptop? I can't read the city names
a maximum of that. Think of it like this. What did you have earlier? Right! I would
recommend that you run Google Maps or Earth in parallel with the Map Editor to
get the location you're in.

Thank you for supporting my idea at the SCS forum. Think of the possibility
to be able to almost zoom without limit and still have a clear image. And
you could actually pan the globe around if you like. The response is fast too.
In addition you will have the possibility to see which type of vegetation
or type of landscape in general. This video shows the principle, even if it's
from a GIS application called QGIS3. It would be damn easy to get going
with map editing and also easy to place the map resources on that kind of
"canvas".
NOTE that there is the Hybrid service from Google that gives you the roads
as well as city names and such. The video shows that too.

Thanks man, i will probably run Google earth with the editor for the city names.
The idea with the map tool for BG images reminds me again of my FSX days. I used a plug in for photoreal terrain layouts for custom made airports. Zoom in, get the position right and download it. Cut it out and Boom! The background is in the game

Guys, I'm still on 1. 35 - As soon as I update ETS and get my new Rig I will update this map using Bengans Editor Background. 8-)
