Now i understand.

But dOOmERdaZe did his own background map and then didn't update it. Maybe he would not be interested in.

My suggestion would be changing the colors of the border. I suggest white becoming grayish or a red coming into slight pink.

@Kaperios

It's not the case that the high resolution start image is in layers,
then it would be easy. Do you have a good suggestion on how
to execute your request too, mate?

EDIT: Would you like to have a try on the starting image yourself?

I'm on holidays so I can't tell you the exact tool. (If you use GIMP, you will have all the tools that I described, if you use Paint.net using the color replacer tool should be enough) Select the yellow with a magic wand, detaching the layer and painting that with a brush should do.

@ExtremorPL

Here is a low res image of the area we are interested in, for the future. This is
in contrast to the previous ones in Lambert Conic Conformap map projection.
To me it looks pretty good. What do you think? There's no borders or country
names, because this is only a test. I'll see if I can get that later too! :D

EDIT: With low res I mean the same resolution that SCS uses! :lol:

If you would ask me,but you ask me not, I would say that your former maps were much, much better. ;) ;) ;)

@Tapir

Then you WILL get a question back. In what way were they BETTER?
Please be serious now, this is important for me to know. This is only
to be looked at as an idea to be followed up by more work, so you
should really not be comparing with the previous ones. I through in
an extra question for you, you seem to like them. What color would
you like for country borders?

I prefer light grey for country borders on a coloured background . ;)

Mate, that was only an answer to the extra question and that is good.
But I still want to know what your first reaction to the presented image
was. So, please elaborate a bit on that too.

Regarding the color of borders I can tell you that according to what is
going to be released in a near future and which already has begun by
the Middle East Addon for Promods, the next maps will almost all be
located in desert environments and there the light gray color will just
vanish. I think we need a strong color that is showing good on both
green and light light brownish background.

Comments please!
