Finally it worked: no more CTDs in Great Steppe.
Cause: no idea, but I deleted a few mods. My load order was o.k.

But in the end it doesn't matter, there are only 1, 2 map combos on youtube with PR and ETS 1.44 and of course none from well-known ETS2 youtubers.
