@ t2patel

If your game looks smooth and you stammer a lot on YT, we'll talk about something else.
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
ASRock X670E Taichi Carrara
DOMINATOR TITANIUM DDR5-7200 32GB
PNY RTX4070Ti 12GB VERTO LED WE

@t2patel

Please follow BenganJ's instructions for everything.
I got to know him in 2017 and even in the DX9 era it took a long time but the NPI setup worked.
I changed to a G-Sync compatible QHD monitor over Bengan's objections.
Bengan's concern was that QHD was more prone to flickering at native 1440p than at FHD with DSR (1440p), but this is not a problem now.
The sharpness was fine in 1.39, and in 1.40 the blur has increased a bit, but still holds a lot and is not a problem.
As far as I know, your monitor is G-Sync Compatible and you are using an RTX3080.
If you have G-Sync, NPI, NCP and congig.cfg set up correctly, you should not lose more FPS than I did.
Since I am able to maintain 60fps, it seems possible in your case to be stable.
The FPS drop you are concerned about is not a drop in FPS on Scandinavian forest roads, but everyone loses FPS where it happens.
(It happens in PM, RUS, SR, RE, in some urban areas, in places with a lot of vegetation, and in some places with detailed maps.
If you trust Bengan and follow his suggestions as I did, you should be fine sooner or later.
yes, you are my inspiration and reach to the graphic level that you have currently...I can see in this forum posts that what pains you had earlier, at present, I am going through the same...but I am sure I will reach sooner & later.. :thank_you2:

I have 100% confidence in Grandpa(Bengan) that he will help me to reach where I want to reach as far as a graphic concern in ETS2...

I am following his instruction only but at the same time, I don't want him to do everything for me so I am also doing some research at my end.

I think, The biggest issue is that Bengan and JH trucker don't have G sync enabled monitor/New updated drivers & NPI 2.3.13...I am sure both have very knowledgeable and doing research on ETS 2 for many years and I can see their hard work in posts...

@ Bengan, I hope you don't mind if I am calling you grandpa... :heart:

I will post short video shortly...

In the meantime, you can check my yesterday video in which I had used clear F1 setting..graphic is perfect for me at least, the only issue is FPS drops

desktop: 2560x1440 120Hz
config.cfg: r_vsync "2", t_averaging_window_length "120"
In-game: 60fps
g-sync: on

Yes, correct... when I take a turn right or left this happens and when FPS goes down.
Actually, now I am confused between the Stuttering effect and rubber bending...and don't know what I have at present in video...

Can you record a video with the FPS displayed on the screen?
Try to cover both city and rural environment!
Hi Bengan,

Please see this video

Game is not smooth and in city drop FPS..No issue with graphics...

If you will give me solution for without G sync also find for me...

One more video upload shortly with G Sync on with the same setting...

@t2patel

I'm in the office right now and couldn't see all the videos, but after the config.cfg changes, why did you change the in-game settings? (V-sync, that is)
In config.cfg uset g_lod_factor_pedestrian "15", uset g_lod_factor_parked "15" uset g_lod_factor_traffic "15" Does the fps increase after lowering it? Try setting it to 5 for example.
Also, before you get scolded by Bengan, let's get back to the NPI thread.

I had changed V sync just to cross checked...there is no effect on FPS after changing values between 1 to 15 for pedestrian, parked and traffic..

you are right lets back to the NPI thread... see you there

@t2patel

Well, what I wanted you to do was to follow exactly the suggested settings in the following post,

viewtopic.php?p=41208#p41208

and then make a short video driving in different environments, city and rural area. I don't need
to see you do the settings, I trust you. Just the driving please, with FPS counter on the screen.

@t2patel

Please, this GrandPa is an oldie. Instead of displaying the FPS counter from Steam, use the Shadowplay one
and make it bigger! Also please, just the driving. Sorry for being a pest right now!

EDIT: In NCP, don't have the setting Fixed refresh, as that will be in conflict with the Frame Rate Limiting
scheme we're trying to use!
