Well, I never used SoftTH, but I think it works not the same way. SRWE gives you opportunity only to change sizes of the windows. It doesn't change anything in display (driver?). It works perfectly fine with dx11 (I have 1070 card). And I use last version 1.40 of the game. (Prev game version worked too).

The point is, without SRWE, when you hit NO after applying fullscreen, there is no way to change game window size (or I don't know it). The game just dissapears and alt tabbing does nothing. But after that I use the app pointing it to ATS or ETS process and make borderless window mode.

@xzanich

Well, I realize that SRWE doesn't work exactly as SoftTH did. It worked through DLL injection to be able
to control the resolution and positions of the screens making up the setup. I'll see if I can test it a bit later
here. May I ask, do you have to go through that procedure EVERY time you start the game or is some settings
saved to be used later on?

Yes, you have to do it every time =( You can save preset in SRWE for position and resolution. So it saves a little time.

uset g_lod_factor_pedestrian "2" // This and the following 2 parameters will make LOD changes further away for the objects mentioned. [See Note 5]
uset g_lod_factor_parked "2" // See above.
uset g_lod_factor_traffic "2" // See above.

Gentlemen, I have a question if I understand it correctly. Increasing these parameters will sharpen objects that are farther away in front of our vehicle. The higher the parameter, the earlier the sharpening occurs ???

@Keiseiw74

Not sharpen actually. What happens is that those type of objects will change from LOW to HIGH
quality textures at a distance further away the higher the value you set.

I'm using a negative LOD value of -3 now, looks really sharper now in the medium/long distance without much shimmering.

@black-coffee

Yes, might compensate for the extra blurring that the new lighting system caused.

@Keiseiw74

I have my values set to 15 BTW, so I never see when that texture change occurs!

After further testing and educated tinkering, the conclusion is that the best setting for best image quality is the combination of "16xS [Combined: 2x2 SS + 4x MS]" + 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling. VERY important, any setting ending with xS has auto LOD adjustment! In other words no need to screw around with the LOD manually and let it be 0. For added clarity you can also use Sharpen 0.5/Ignore film grain 1.0 from NCP.
