@BenganJ

won't work even if I zip, sorry
All I have done is changed the 6 sets of figures, placed amended mod at top of mod manager and put the unedited sound fix mod 2nd in the list
Thanks

@toni1958

That's NOT a proper way to do it! Check PM!

@ BenganJ
because all the other settings we were changing were done in Notepad++ I just assumed thats how the mod file should be changed but after all that it was too much of a hit on my GPU % and FPS(as you state on page 1) but I thought I would give it a try, if the values were reduced to say half way between original and your figures, would that make any difference at all?

@toni1958

With the mod activated, did you get too much impact on FPS?
Do you want me to adjust the mod values to half?

EDIT: The values I set in the mod you got is somewhat halfway
between the two shown in first post, so if that hits you too much
I think you should just forget about these settings and deactivate
the mod!

Thanks for the guide, ATS and ETS2 look so much better. Powerlines actually LOOK like Powerlines and not a jaggy mess!

However, the only problem I do have is mirrors. Very noticable when driving is jaggies. I have followed the listed changes but still they look bad, unless I have overlooked a setting somewhere?

Scaling is 100%
SMAA is disabled
SSAO is disabled
Mirror quality is low
Mirror resolution is Medium (and greyed out/locked)

@Digital X

So, if you look in your config.cfg you see these settings?

Code: Select all

uset r_mirror_scale_y "1"
uset r_mirror_scale_x "1"
uset r_scale_y "1"
uset r_scale_x "1"

That's correct. They are set as above.

@Digital X

There's NO reason to have Mirror quality set to Low, change it to High.
The important thing is to have Mirror resolution set to Medium, as that
will give you AA in the mirrors! Try that and report back, please!

Yep that did it thanks, I was following some posts regarding black textures/glitches earlier on in the thread, forgot to change it back. All is fixed now.

@Digital X

You're welcome and if you haven't already, experiment with how
long a distance you will see objects in the mirrors, by altering this
in config.cfg.

Code: Select all

uset r_mirror_view_distance
I have it set to 900 meters, but that might be too much for you,
so test which value suits you best!
