Updating to 1.39

Post by CaptainCat5444 » December 26th, 2020, 12:54 pm

Hey all!
After updating to ETS2 1.39/PM2.51 almost all the roads and prefabs in my map disappeared. When I try to enter the city to delete the ghost objects and place new roads and prefabs, the editor crashes. What can I do against it?
Best regards

Never had that problem, probably you forget to add a package in your mod folder

@CaptainCat5444

Is it ONLY PM resources that you have problem with? If so, they must have changed on their side
and you will have to get advice from them on how to fix it! Are the standard SCS stuff OK? Just
checking here!

EDIT: I assume you have edited the editor_data.sii file you use or are using the SCS 1.39 original,
because SCS changed one line in there, causing the editor to crash! They changed the following
line like this:
FROM:

Code: Select all

startpos_model: "/vehicle/ai/focus_2009/lod.pmd"
TO:

Code: Select all

startpos_model: "/vehicle/ai/focus_2009/ai_lod1.pmd"

How can I ask PM?

@CaptainCat5444

On their forum or their Discord I guess. I'm not doing that very often myself so .....! :grin: :grin: :grin:

BTW, did you check for the changed line? And as -force_mods are used, put a couple
of zzzz in front of my ME BG mod to make it load last! There's a risk that PM has left
a version of editor_data.sii in one of their mods, whith a mapname of 'europe' causing
havoc of some kind!

All my roads in Malta have disappeared. Not a BG problem.

@CaptainCat5444

Why are you on ETS2 v1.39.1.5s? As far as I can recall the latest version is v1.39.2.1.
