I made the same fix for Viewpoints. Then I decided to look in this forum. In the future maybe I will look in this forum first before making my own fix. Anyway, I think it is a good idea to have a link in the first post that links to this fix, as a lot of users might have no clue why the Viewpoints are not visible when using one of your background mods.

Yes, you're right! As a matter of fact, I had hoped that I already had got the time
to update all of my combo based BGs with this fix, but the time has not been there.

EDIT: It will probably be needed in ETS2 soon too!

Your question regarding viewpoints in ets2 : Yes, now there is one I`ve found in the new PR.

Where is that damn thing located? Can you show a picture with it?

Just for info
In the big map iceland is a little displaced. If that's a known issue forget it. Just wanted to report if it bothers you.
I took a look at the .dds files but I know too little about how it works.

Yes it's a known fact and is due to the fact that Promods depends on displaying UK and Ireland
in the 1:15 scale while I and SCS wants it to be displayed in 1:19 scale, just as all the rest of
maps!
