[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Yep, seems they are aiming at revenue only right now, with a lot of pretty useless DLCs.
Which doesn't need to be a bad thing IF they use the money to hire people to build the
new requested game engine as fast as possible!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
On ETS2, doing the NPI tweaks the game crashes at startup. From my Log I have this:
00:00:06.652 : <ERROR> [TrackIR] Unable to register the window handle.
00:00:06.761 : <ERROR> [dx11] Failed to allocate buffer of 2097152 bytes.
00:00:06.761 : <ERROR> d:\buildbot\slaves\win_slave\final_build_ets2_138_windows_bin_steam_x64\build\prism\src\engine\gfx\dx11\dx11_buffer_storage.cpp(66): ?buffer_storage_allocate@dx11_device_t@prism@@UEAAI_KW4r_buffer_lifetime_t@2@I@Z: Failed to allocate buffer
Not sure what that is, or what could be causing that.

Hi and welcome! To be honest, we are very many people using the NPI scheme to get a better antialiasing experience
than what SCS can give us and not a single time I've heard that anyone got a game crash because of it. So please, do
post your FULL game log and also as many screenshots of your NPI settings that is needed to show them all and we'll
see what we can do to help you!

I appreciate the fast response, I figured out what my issue was between the time I posted and the post got approved.
The issue is I had put the AA compatibility in the wrong spot, which of course would cause the game to not load.

Ah, nicely done! So now then, enjoy the better AA! And feel free to report later
what your experience of it is!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Greetings, the truth is that this configuration is amazing and works perfectly, but I have a problem and it is that using the ProjectNG pack I see that some texture of the ground, the sidewalks I see some texture that flashes me especially in round sidewalks type roundabout , as if one is on top of the other and I see them bounce ... any help ??? what could it be?

You're also welcome! The fact is that the "flashing" textures you see, after applying the scheme here for better AA,
has NOTHING to do with this scheme. You will see that whatever settings you have and is due to that, when mapping,
if you place two textures at the same level, the game will under certain circumstances render those textures alternately,
which you experience as flashing! Nothing anyone but the mapper can do anything about.

@BenganJ
thanks for the prompt reply hehehe, then from what I understand there is nothing to do right? there is no solution to this? the truth does not bother too much because it is in certain places that if you do not look closely you do not realize.

Sadly there's not much to do about it, it's quite common amongst mappers that they
aren't aware of the fact that when overlapping two or more textures, they have to be
separated in level, as the game will not have any problem render them in a proper way
then. Maybe I can persuade Arayas to make a Map Editor Tutorial video about it!
