@CSharpDude
you're welcome! That guy made a so called fork of the original NPI at some point,
maybe to introduce bitcoin support, but I'm not sure! So, I think it's best to keep
to the original. It's a known fact that GPUs are used bitcoin computing purposes.

I rolled back to a clean install of the 451.67 driver, reran NPI 2.3.0.12 with the settings on the first page of this post and double checked the config entries. My Steam launch options are the same as this post's first page. Here is the result:

Should I expect better or is this the best it gets? I swear it was better a few days ago, but I lost my Tardis and can't go back in time to see it again
Thanks again for your help. It is greatly appreciated.
Dave

First of all, the Steam Launch options does NOT have any impact on AA at all. They are there to raise
the resource level of the game in general. Another thing is, it is recommended to find a place, where
there are quite some power lines, in addition to city environment. They tell quite well the level of AA
you've got! No, your video make me feel you haven't got the optimum AA level, but as I said, it's hard
to tell on ONLY city environment. BTW, did you do all 3 Steps in the first post?

I did all 3 of the steps on the first page. I'll find a much better location and upload a sample.
Thanks.

I don't watch videos as i only have a 3g data connection...
You say, "Should I expect better or is this the best it gets?"
Sounds like you don't have AA working... it's a massive difference compared with the default game.
Attach your current config.cfg.
Do you have global config presets set in NPI?
The grey options in profiles are global default and the black are user selected.
In your screenshots your Ansi filter setting 4x is "grey" and Neg LOD - clamp in "grey" meaning you haven't set them in this profile.
4x should be 16x or left at app control. 4x will be the cause of poor quality.
So perhaps there's a global setting that's preventing this?
Default that profile and then reapply step 1 to it.
Or
Remove driver. Install driver choosing "clean install" not express.
Apply NPI step 1 and redo steps 2 & 3.

I did a clean install of the NVidia driver and for good measure rolled back to 451.67. Same results.
BUT --- I applied the same settings to ETS2 and could really notice the difference. And it's exactly how ATS looks. It is way better than without the NPI and config changes. It still isn't perfect and in some places fences, buildings etc. sometimes have a bit of the jaggies.
Thank you both for taking your time to help me figure it out and learn that I am the problem - not my settings!
To put it another way -

LOLThe problem is between the keyboard and the chair

For me, a short video, containing a row of lampposts and some powerlines?
Good to hear you are satisfied now!
EDIT: BTW, are you aware of the fact that EVERY TIME you update your Nvidia
driver, you will loose your AA? That's why there is special info on that in Step 1
in first post, saying that you should have an exported NPI profile to load after
driver update, which you then can Apply to get all the settings back! Was it
this problem you had when AA suddenly disappeared after driver update?
