[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@BenganJ
I am sorry, I will just say one last thing just to clear things out.
First of all, I never demanded anything from SCS. And secondly, when you choose this as your business model (that is keep the same base game and release DLCs for it) you cannot leave the engine without some essential stuff for 2020, because other wise it looks like (to the eyes of a new buyer that does not know the situation and does not read the scs forum, and frankly does not care as most people just pay for the game and play it, very few are active on the forums) you are "milking" an old product as far as you can. I am not expecting ray tracing or other "exotic" updates, but some stuff, like multi-thread, proper AA, draw distance and LOD, should go without saying in 2020. That's all, I really don't want to start a fight here, because I do not have any bad feelings for SCS,I respect them a lot as a game studio for all these they give us for free (trucks, old map rebuild, etc) and I enjoy the game as it is now but I have stopped spending any more money on it until the issues I described above as resolved..

Right, lets get NPI working with SSAO. :)

Any fresh new ideas about that? You can see upon it with fresh eyes,
while I've been in this mess for a damn long time now!

They don't seem to know much about the kind of AA we use here. If they
did they would probably have implemented it already! So no, I don't think
so!

Even more important to let them know that this kind of AA is working with their games.

@killingjoke
We have through the years, even on the MLAA era, tried to ask for implementation
of a MSAA + SGSSAA or TXAA, but the only thing we got was the transition from
MLAA to SMAA, both pretty useless. We had a NPI topic over at SCS forum, where
discussions were quite lively, but when I took that over here it hasn't been very
active. So no, I don't think SCS will listen to anything that is not in their line of
work at present.

Is there documentation somewhere about alle those parameters in NPI? Nvidia documentation?
