@BenganJ

I was able to record tomorrow's video with Vsync 1/3 48Hz.
It's gsync off, but it doesn't seem to improve the stutter.
I will upload it to YT as it is, so please check tomorrow.

Since the NPI setting in the DX9 era was 40 fps, I was thinking about lowering fps,
I suddenly remembered when I met you and Arayas.
At that time there was a big rug because of my trailer.
Yes, today's reported momentary pause was due to SCS's proprietary trailer, which I have been using since last night. When I stopped using it, the phenomenon disappeared.
Thanks to Bengan and Arayas!

I'm sorry.

I will do another test tomorrow.

@clear F1

Yes, we struggled heavily with your owned trailer problem in Sofia, Bulgaria!
I remember and several other people was helped by that too.

@ BenganJ

I am always grateful for your help.
I uploaded the video of tomorrow to YT. (It will take 8-10 hours to see on VP09)
If my eyes and brain are okay, I think it's much better.

In case of Gsync "on", 144Hz, Vsync "0", the game is very smooth, but the recorded one has a lot of stuttering.
In the result of repeating the test, it looks good with SILK_Smoothness set to “0”.
The Video you saw this morning (already published) was SILK_Smoothness "1".

Please check when it becomes 1440p. I expect good results.

@clear F1

Thank you my friend for the report! But it is VERY odd, that SILK_Smoothness has a sort
of opposite impact when using G-Sync. Hmmmm ......! I'll watch the video as soon as it
is finished HD processed!

AFTER WATCHING VIDEO:
------------------------------

This is odd, as I experience this video less smooth than the previous one! I see more stuttering,
even if it is on a low level. But the graphic quality is very good! I wonder if it is due to YouTube
streaming in any way?

@BenganJ

I don't know this, but mp4 video recorded on SSD looks very smooth. The video on SSD feels less stuttering than the video updated yesterday.
One thing I can say is that with g-sync on and 144Hz vsync "0" set, even if silk smooth is 0 or 1 to 3 in the game, it doesn't change and feels smooth.
The g-sync monitor has a smoothness that I have never experienced before. However, the recorded video has more or less stuttering.

@clear F1

Thanks for the report. Well, G-Sync is there just to make the monitor output smooth,
so that's good. It's another thing what a recorded video look like, depending on a large
amount of factors. Most often you have to experiment with different settings for many
parameters, e.g. CBR contra VBR contra CQP and such things!

Every day is a test.

Cofig.cfg, NPI, and NCP are in the initial state and set again to the recommended values and tested.
Continue until you get good results. :laugh1:

Hi clear F1..

This post is very helpful in my case as I also have the same FPS drop issue, at this moment, I am getting good graphic which I was expected from NPI setting but not getting constant FPS again.

So finally which setting works for you in your present videos as all videos are very good graphics?

@t2patel

Can you record a video with the FPS displayed on the screen?
Try to cover both city and rural environment!

@t2patel

Please follow BenganJ's instructions for everything.
I got to know him in 2017 and even in the DX9 era it took a long time but the NPI setup worked.
I changed to a G-Sync compatible QHD monitor over Bengan's objections.
Bengan's concern was that QHD was more prone to flickering at native 1440p than at FHD with DSR (1440p), but this is not a problem now.
The sharpness was fine in 1.39, and in 1.40 the blur has increased a bit, but still holds a lot and is not a problem.
As far as I know, your monitor is G-Sync Compatible and you are using an RTX3080.
If you have G-Sync, NPI, NCP and congig.cfg set up correctly, you should not lose more FPS than I did.
Since I am able to maintain 60fps, it seems possible in your case to be stable.
The FPS drop you are concerned about is not a drop in FPS on Scandinavian forest roads, but everyone loses FPS where it happens.
(It happens in PM, RUS, SR, RE, in some urban areas, in places with a lot of vegetation, and in some places with detailed maps.
If you trust Bengan and follow his suggestions as I did, you should be fine sooner or later.
