Interesting, I look forward to see the resulting video as I have in the latest
ones seen a very small but non-smooth irregularity. One can see it at the
right-most edge of the displayed area. Once again my friend, thank you
for doing all these tests.

I have no first hand knowledge of gsync monitors.
I think that the game vsync is fighting with the monitor gsync to control the fps and causing the issue.
By using vsync in the driver along with gsync in the driver seems to be the best result for gsync monitors and use a frame limiter to reduce constant high gpu usage as shown by clear F1's latest results.

But the point of gsync is to not use vsync at all.
So that would mean gsync=on and no vsync at all and frame limiter set to your required fps limit.

Yes, those arguments I can buy and was the reason I asked if there's also a G-Sync
related setting in the monitor that despite disabling G-Sync in NCP it didn't work.

EDIT: After reading the User Manual for clear F1's monitor I can tell, that there is
an internal setting to activate/deactivate Adaptive sync, so if clear F1 ONLY did
deactivate G-Sync in NCP, this setting could still have an impact, when trying to
use classic V-Sync. Adaptive sync in this case is BOTH Freesync AND G-Sync as
this monitor supports both. As a matter of fact it is a Freesync capable monitor
with G-Sync compatibility!

To add a bit experience from the freesync-field: I run the games now with freesync on, vsync off, no framerate-limiter and t_averaging_window_length "1". Very smooth gameplay. Just let the adaptive-system do it's thing.

No, stil the GTX1070. The monitor has Freesync and nVidia-drivers support that. Gsync-compatible. Adaptive-sync.

Yes I assumed that, you were just not clear about the G-Sync compatibility,
so I thought I would "harass" you a bit! :grin:

Yes, the first video looks very smooth, but a followup question. What GPU load do you get?
The advantage of Frame Limiting is to get a lower load on the GPU, as you normally, in this
game, don't need a very high frame rate at all!

@Sansemiano - As i suggested to Clear F1 to try this, on the previous page:
Try vsync=0 and use NPI vsync=half/quarter etc because gsync is part of the driver so use the vsync in the driver also.
And he said it worked. So may work for freesync too.
That will lower your gpu load and allow you to increase graphic options.
