Re: World Background Maps
Jeez, Scul definitely has a hard skull. It's not getting trough to him that they are not alone in the world of ETS2.

Re: World Background Maps
What I'm wondering is why some of the Promods team members (and I'm not saying all of them) really do their best to harness the rest of the community. Promods is a really good addition, but with the course that has been followed lately, they run the chance that the rest will run away from Promods and some wil start something else. Of course it will take a while to reach the standard quality of Promods, but there are plenty of new map modders. If you organize them that they can make something beautiful.(Like what is happening here now )
They have now set the standard and the rest of the modders are trying to take Promods into account, so we only ask that them to consider the rest of the community as well. Otherwise they run the risk of Promods ending up as TSM and nobody wants that.
Just trying to be the voice of reason![](./images/smilies/grin.gif)

Thanks mate, but this is not a fight, hopefully it will make the "other" side think a bit!

SCS aren't working far away from the center yet, so the distortion
from the map projection isn't big, therefore I think they just use
an old World View BG! It is still working for their map data!
EDIT: And mind you, Mandelsoft has added his "cheated" BG to it
on free hand!
On the comparison though, turkey seems to be aligned, so does the countries just underneath turkey. This is a comparison of scs background with pm background. How does your bg compare there? I really cannot grasp how it has that big misalignment just there, when the pm bg seems somewhat accurate at that area.
@BenganJ don't take it the wrong way, I'm just trying to understand.
