@JHTrucker
Are we saying, at this moment in time:
Reshade works as expected within the driving screen but menu splits on return?
"Waves" background split or truck garage background split?

Driving - ALT/TAB - driving - Ok? or gfx flip in driving screen?

Does menu split in 2, horizontally with 2xMS & 2xSGSS ?
Does menu split in 4, vertically & horizontally with 4xMS & 4xSGSS ?
Does menu split in 8, vertically & horizontally with 8xMS & 8xSGSS also 32xS?
Here's a video showing what happens after ALT+TAB when driving and also from Menu! Note, split in 4 when using 32xS :!:

Quick test for you!
With reshade on and menuAA="0" does that help? // No split when ALT+TAB from Menu, black screen when driving and split Menu after driving!
With reshade on and menuAA="4" with 4xMS & 4xSGSS does that help? // No split when ALT+TAB from Menu, black screen when driving and split Menu after driving!

Just come over from Steam ...

I'm still getting some slight shimmering on things like top of barriers and some light pylons. Followed exactly the guide on page 1. Using a gtx1080ti ... whcih driver versions are you guys using ??

FYI I'm running with a 2540x1440 Gsync monitor

Thanks

@digeeboy

Welcome! To be fully honest, we all have them flickerings left, fences, some types of light pylons
and the mostly horizontal textures. BUT, if you did by the book, but also enabled Image sharpening.

Code: Select all

--- Sharpening Value ------------------------------------ '0.75'
with the recommended value of 0.75, lower that value in steps of 0.05 until you get an acceptable
amount of flickering (shimmering)!

EDIT: Remember that some maps when you run big combos will include pretty old stuff, which aren't
fully converted and changed according to SCS changes in textures.

Shimmering is still there, but much less noticable and much less disturbing, it's not preventing me to play the game any longer as compare to what it was after 1.36 and introduction of dx11. Though would be cool to make these settings work together with dsr, because right now it only works with native or lower resolutions. I see a major difference playing on my 21:9 monitor at 2560 x 1080 and 55' TV at 2560 x 1440. it is some 900000 pixels more and the shimmering is almost gone. I even tried 4K last night with 4 x ms and 4 x SGSS and man that looks phenomenal... Framerate around 50-55....

@Jarinage

Good to hear that! :D Well, to me with finally a AO compatibility pattern found
we now have arrived at better than we had under DX9, probably because of the
added boost that DX11 actually gives us, so the limitations for the same level of
quality are higher!

Came over here from steam as I am sure many others recently have. Wanted to say thanks for all the work and to also direct your attention if it is not already known to this thread over on the reshade forum from a few months ago specifically post number 939 from thalixte who released a depth buffer tweaked dll for dx1x. Reshade is working fine for me while using all the tweaks from the op here.

@snacker

Please, can you guide us through which of the many fixes that guy has released
you used to fix your ReShade problem. I tested a couple, but I get the same split
of the Menu screen and black screen when try to ALT+TAB both from driving screen
and from Menu screen!

EDIT: Which version of ReShade are you running and is the #939 post fix the only
one you have applied?

EDIT2: Am I right when I say that the #939 post fix is a version 4.3.0 fix? Seems
a bit old by now, so what are you doing regarding upgrading ReShade? Are you
stuck at 4.3.0 then?

Check out this post and watch the video! Is that the problem you had?

My apologies I only did a quick test in game and went to sleep after my first post. Now I see alt-tab is still an issue. To answer though yes the d3d11 from post 939 is all I used and yes it is an older build. Apologies again for my lack of testing.

@snacker

No problem, we are just so keen on solving this problem, that we get so much hope
for every little idea on how to solve it! And it's a bit odd problem too! :D
