Tbh, I hope Southern Region fit on that background in the near future.

I use Promods, Rusmap, Roex, yksrsk, Swedish Islands now and they fit quite well on that background, but unfortunately, SRmap doesn't. :(

EDIT: I also use TGS and Road to Aral. I think they also fit well. lol

@sbym5333

We all hope that will happen, but at the time SRMap was created they didn't have
a decent background in the Editor, so that's why it looks that way. I have given the
SRMap team, Sergey061 actually, one ME BG they could use if they decide to remake
the map, just as 09_KZ did with The Great Steppe, which also was misplaced quite a
bit earlier!

SR is almost the only map left to re-scale and re-fit, great steppe looks pretty decent now, and the west part of the world map looks juuuust a little bit off but we can live with that.

I must be honest and for some reason , it makes a noticeable difference in the play feeling to have the cities placed in its right spot, and not in the water... you would expect some kind of ferry or hover bridge over the ocean to drive on... :lol: :lol: :lol:

@tantalus

I can't agree with you more mate! But two things.

1. As you might have heard from mappers, in the game scale 1:19 you can't place things as you would like there's not room for it.
2. You have TWO parameters to play with to register quite a large amount of individual maps, done by different mappers, these ones.

Code: Select all

	ui_map_center:	(-13500.0, -4950.0)	// in editor coordinates
	ui_map_size:	(5308.2, 5200.0)	// map texture in real km
You are soooo welcome to open up one of my BG's, open the proper map_data.sii
entry or file and try to adjust them all maps in a better way! It's a tedious as hell
job to get very little done and, mind you, there will still be some place where it
doesn't look right! Good Luck! :D
