Yes, you're right, but as you said, those were the recommendations! I think I have quite
good resolution of the distant signs, because it's all about the LOD change there that
counts. As you might have seen, I'm in a conversation with Grimes about the rain/snow
problem at the SCS forum, in the Frosty topic! Maybe we can get a hunch out of that!

Thank you for all the energy that you have put into this.
I am very happy with it. :D

Yesterday I experimented a lot with Reshade and NPI.
At first it didn't work because the settings in my Nvidia Confugiration screen had already been adjusted. After I set this back to standard, they were controlled by NPI.
After that I always had no image or very little image in my mirrors. And outside of the truck I had black textures. Whatever I did the problem remained. Unless I set the Scaling to 125%.
Until I read further in the forum that you had the same problem . I read that you set the mirror quality to low. Problem solved. :lol: :lol:
It took me quite a few hours to understand everything and try it out, but well now I am quite satisfied.

My question is whether you still have the mirror quality on low or have you been able to solve it?

In addition, my Framerate sometimes falls back considerably if I have a lot of textures such as a lot of green. That may be my computer because it is a bit older.
But do you have any tips or advice on how I can still raise the Framerate?

Ah, nice to have you aboard! Welcome to this graphics bonanza! Yes, sadly we haven't
yet discovered any solutions to the requirement of setting Mirror Quality to Low. I can
tell you that when/if that day comes, you will hear of it! Loud and clear! :D The frame
rate drop is probably quite normal, depending of course on which resources you have
in your machine! I'm glad you got it up and running in the end though! May I ask which
graphic card you use?

EDIT: I forgot to ask, are you using any Frame Rate Limiter? NPI, Riva Tuner, V-Sync or
other?

I actually miss the solution to put the mirror quality to low in the first post. Or did I really miss reading it?
I am also happy that I managed. :D Because I really don't know much about these graphic settings. It is really a compliment to you, then I succeeded.

The graphic card that I use is an Asus GeForce GTX 670MX.
I use NPI as a Frame Rate Limiter = 60.

Well, that card isn't one of the latest and fastest! :D I would suggest that you
set that Frame Rate Limiter value to 45 instead. Did you notice that rule of
thumb I have in the comments to that setting? The FPS shouldn't drop below
the set value more than 5-10% of the time. Why spitting out a lot of frames
that actually isn't needed, less job for both game and GPU!

No, you're right. I haven't documented that setting of Mirror Quality, thanks
for reminding me! :D

I know that people usually think I'm an idiot when I say this. but I have 2
reasons why I set the FOV to 50 in the cabin view.

1. Then, according to Max at SCS, the perceived speed is kind of optimal and correct.
2. I don't see a lot of mirrors in the normal strait ahead view, meaning less for the
game to render per timeunit and thereby giving me slightly better chance for a higher
FPS. As I use headtracking I can easily look through the mirrors anyway! :D :D :D
I don't use virtual mirrors either, because I don't need them and also, every mirror
active is like having one more screen to render for the game.
