Have also upgraded to MSAA x 8 and SGSSAA x 8 (LOD to 1.5). Sugest a trial - see what you think.
I owe you an answer on this and I must say after testing all 3 suggested pairs of AA params,

Code: Select all

1. -------------------------------
4x [4x Multisampling]
4x Sparse Grid Supersampling

2. -------------------------------
8xQ [8x Multisampling]
8x Sparse Grid Supersampling

3. -------------------------------
32xS [Combined: 2x2 SS + 8x MS]
8x Sparse Grid Supersampling
I think number 3 is the best, but there is so little difference between them, so it's really hard
to decide. Which is GREAT, because they are all GOOD!

BTW, shouldn't that LOD value be -1.5????

No, and if you already haven't done it, set this back to 'Enabled' again. The green object
you are not alone to see and is on all maps in every situation! This is how you should have it.

Code: Select all

Antialiasing - Line gamma -------------------------- 'Enabled'

Yes, tomorrow's Video, but I'll insert it here privately later.

2.3.0.5 of Nvidia Profile Inspector
The NPI settings are shown below.
--- 32xS [Combined: 2x2 SS + 8x MS]
--- 8x Sparse Grid Supersampling
--- Texture filtering - LOD Bias (DX) --- '-1.5000'
--- Line gamma --- 'Enabled'
--- Frame Rate Limiter --- '45'
--- Sharpening - Denoising Factor --- '0.23'
--- Sharpening Value --- '0.70'

My opinion is often denied, so I just say that this test is very good. :D I feel that it looks good, both far and close. :D
I was very immersed and made the wrong turn. :)
I use RGM and ProjectNG and you may not like it.
Since this tested video is in YT, you may not be able to see the collapse and blinking, but 90% has been removed.
There is no meaning in the right handle, but it is easy to drive for some reason. :D

Yes, that LOD should of course be a negative (typo - sorry). In line with the perceived wisdom: 2's -0.5, 4's -1.0, 8's -1'5

However I suggest some fine tuning of LOD could be tried, above recommendations possibly are not all together relevant when using shaders. Don't forget there are plenty of alternatives between the above figures! What works best for you?
