I agree fully, the whole of Africa needs some real care. I've
already tried to get someone living in Nigeria to start mapping
that country, the Map Editor BG is already finished! :D :D :D

Yes, but very limited coverage actually! :(
Around Abuja pretty good and also around
Lagos! There are some other cities that is
covered too, though!

Google Street View is a damn good service to have when the environment
isn't known when mapping! But you on the other hand has got a very high
class background for the Editor, so you are good. Just kidding!
