Yes, I seen the post on that and was thinking why?
they should go back in redo it and check that box to
fix that issue, I figure as much could not be something
of a fix or mod to scale, cities etc ... which hold certain data and info
pertaining to the map that is built. Well it was a thought... :)
Maybe just maybe could have some dummy sectors in that area
to do the right scale and size etc.. make some fake cities etc ...
and gets updated when needed to correct that issue. Shit I don't
what I am saying lol just wishful thinking its gonna take promods
to fix the issue and would most likely have to adjust and fix the UK
area etc ... in doing so. if there is a way ..... then shall it be. :)

As I said, the bad info is NOT located in the sector files, it's in the europe.mbd!

So if I made a map lets say then I should have that checked in the options as you showed
as well as any other maps or combos should have done this as well?
When looking at BG in combos or just a few maps when having promods
alignment is off in question, so lets say you don't use promods in your combo
and all maps addons for promods only etc ... then this error would never happen I take it.
Or at the very least you would not see it if using combos without promods.

Okay, let me visualize it for you. In this video I use the STD SAT BG,
normally used for non-Promods based combos. Then I have FORCED
scaling of the Promods UK area, which Promods doesn't want, and
which you can see in this video why they don't want. They messed
up the locations of Iceland and Faeroe islands. Instead they decided
to make their own BG map in the game, different to SCS original.
So YES, without using Promods as combo base map, you won't get
into these troubles! PERIOD!

I have a thought on this..
I don't know if it's true and I don't wanna tell something untrue, but I think that are all such little things that are not happen randomly or cause they did not knew better.
I think this is made in order to make their map mod to something unique that can't be properly combined with every other map without such problems, simply cause they don't want such combos. They have a little list of recommended maps for a combo, but maps like Roex, Yksrsk, or simply your BGmap don't belong to it.
And if you are having a combo with Roex and yksrsk and so on, and having problems and ask for help in PM forums they tell you, that you are using incompatible maps. The fact that there are roadconnections and sonon doesn't count, you are using incompatible maps, period.
If you are using Ros in your combo with PM they will tell you this for 1000 percent sure and refuse to help, unimportant what kind of problem you have..
And maybe for similar reasons they made it all this way, so they can keep "control" on their map and can decide what map is compatible to their's and what not.
As I said that could eventually be. I do not know of this is a true fact. And I don't wanna say that this it is. It is only a possible suspicion..

You're not alone in thinking so and sometimes I wonder too, if that could be the case.
But, as we haven't got any proof of that, and they, via Voytek, has been willing to do
some changes aimed at not making it a mess for other non-supported maps, like RoEx
and YKSRSK, I think we shouldn't argue in that direction without proof!

Tonight I have delivered a first attempt of a Map Editor Background to the Project Japan team.
They have promised to release their map as an addon to all the other maps possible to combine
into a huge combo map and it will also be located properly as in the real world. This has been
my own huge project lately, to create a SATellite BackGround to the game, which covers the
following. Europe, all Russia, all China, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Borneo, Sumatra, India,
Sri Lanka, all of Middle East, Africa down to below Madagaskar. And of course all countries
in between these other countries. Just to illustrate the whole concept, here's a short video
showing SCS Vanilla map on that HUGE SAT BG together with a tiny road I made in Japan in
the same area that the standalone Japan map has been done. This is perhaps what you will
be faced with later in the game when a lot of new maps will surface, e.g. Morocco, Algeria,
Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Iraq, UAE, Oman and Japan, all with a
properly located place on that HUGE SAT BG. If I could wish for something too, it would be
that ROS, SRMap, ROC would be re-scaled and re-located properly too. Now I'm signing off

of the creators of those maps I listed, so there you have the vast amount of work
