The only options you have in the /def files are these two parameters:

ui_map_center: (223000.0, 71000.0) // in editor coordinates
ui_map_size: (17600.0, 18300.0) // map texture in real km
not much to do there, as you have 15 different maps to consider, of
which NONE is 100% properly located. I have done one SAT BG in which
I bypassed the REALITY and actually dragged the image around here and
there to be able to get it at least decent and that is the EAA standalone
map BG, as there I ONLY had ONE badly scaled and located map to care
about. But even that had it's limit if you look at the coast of Chile, where
the map is so misplaced I couldn't deform the image to counter that.
