They dont have Izmir on the map, Promods or ME, i wonder what was the reason to bother to place it there.
Like i'm gonna place in Roex a ferry definition for Barcelona.

Hey guys just wanted to post this up here
hopefully is in the right place has to do with a couple of things
CTD and BG alignment while here at work on my laptop.

Anyway I will try my best to explain this
ok here is what I did created a new profile
using this pic download/file.php?id=783&mode=view
provided by Arayas using PM242 and ROEX23 and the RC for it as well
during the loading went ok but after went to load the first haul game crash to desktop
also when selected home base kyiv I think it was sorry if misspelled looking at map
was also out of alignment UK Iceland etc .. so I could not get it to load with this yet?

Then I replaced Promods with PM241 and ROEX23 and the needed RC mods in the same order
as this pic provided by Arayas found here download/file.php?id=783&mode=view
selected same city as before and map was to mis aligned as before UK and Iceland etc ... area of the map
But after the homebase selected started up and loaded and was able to do first haul no problem there
except map alignment was still off.

No other mods used in the mod loadout except in pic provided by Arayas on load order.

Have not put in any other mods as of yet no SAT BG no other fixes to the loadout.

Pics or the same for PM241ROEX23 with the exception of replacement
of RC mods etc .. where needed.

Hope that explains it somewhat of what I did.
so the CTD not sure but the misaligment is somewhere in this loadout
no other mods used, However since I'm at work I cannot test further
but on my home PC it works with PM242ROEX23 and the SAT BG aligned
after spending some hours with it I did get to work.

So anyway just wanted to post this up and shed some light around this..

Mate, plenty of people have had that misalignment of UK, Ireland and Iceland with the rest
of Europe perfectly aligned. I've explained that numerous times now, that it has to do with
the fact that Promods don't use the by SCS in-built scaling of that area west of the English
Channel. UK was originally imported into the ETS2 from UKTS with a scale of 1:15, so to
display it correctly in the same scale within the Map VIew they built that scaling into the
game engine. Now in Map Editor there is a choice to be made to use that feature, but as
Promods wanted to do it in it's own way, probably because they then added Iceland and
later Ireland they didn't tick that choice. That's the reason we have to make a special
SAT BG for Promods based combos! Now to the problem, the Map Editor settings for the
map is saved in a MBD file, called normally europe.mbd and at times another map addon
or a RC can flip that SCS feature, so that Promods unticked choice get ticked, thereby
making the game to scale down UK area to 1:19. RESULT: Disaster for you with UK area
misaligned! Often you can remedy that problem just by reordering of the top most maps
or RC, but I would like a final solution to that and that is for Promods to re-think that
feature ticking, which might result in some work to change the UK area. If that was done
these problems wouldn't surface and we could just limit our work with SAT BG to ONE
version. This is the LAST time I explain this. Check out e.g. earlier in this topic MG Mike's
and my discussion when he had this problem.

I am aware of the post just trying to help out mate and what I discover to try and help
as well if possible that is all no harm no problem I am looking for solution
to remedy the issue as well as we all are sorry if that made you angery was not trying to
in the last part of your post I just want to try and fix as we all do to have one SAT BG
overall to our combos.

No, no, mate, I am NOT angry in any way on you, but I have explained this so many times now,
and it's actually Promods team I'm angry at, it's so many things they have messed up. Sorry if I
sounded angry on you.

ok let me ask is there a way to make this europe.mbd or whatever say a universal
type mod just asking and probaly but it would be nice or to what ever name
it would or need to be like say as a rule of thumb to maybe prevent that from happening
as I am no mapper so I do not know if possible to have or do such thing.

I have always suspected promods was the issue when doing my SAT BG as well.
not saying promods is bad I like the mod very well just wish they would fix it as well as you do
can't be that hard.

No my friend, as that file contains the settings for an individual map,
like scales for cities and outside cities, that choice of scaled UK area
and some other settings. BUT, mostly the maps that are combined
into a map combo, like yours, SHOULD have the same settings, but
as I said, Promods DOESN'T adhere to that scheme and THAT'S the
BIG PROBLEM! Check MG Mike discussion again where I show the
settings from Promods 2.41 and there you can see that they don't
have that option ticked, in spite of the fact that their map is the
ONLY map that contains UK area. :evil: :evil: :evil:
