Texture Fix 4
Re: Texture Fix
The guy that Bengan mentioned said how to fix the problem on OpenGL I believe.
EDIT: I finally added TexFix to my combo. To my surprise, it broke a lot of the road textures while on OpenGL (Can't use anything else). As I know you don't support OpenGL since you don't use it Arayas, it would be worth mentioning in the first post that it shouldn't really be used with OpenGL (Unless you actually want to fix the OpenGL textures).

Re: Texture Fix
Hi, Arayas!
I've found a place where the tex fix v3 doesn't help. On road 365 in Uberlandia (EAA) there is a flickering terrain, somewhere around the exit for road 050. Maybe that could be fixed?

Re: Texture Fix
The fix is already too big for it. Is not gonna be updated anytime soon.
Re: Texture Fix
Last time we talk about my map you were very bussy calling it a crappy map and shitty work on Wombat's discord, the reason that discord channel was closed. Why do you care about it? If i offer support for OpenGL or not, what is it for you?Kaperios wrote: ↑July 26th, 2019, 9:31 pmThe guy that Bengan mentioned said how to fix the problem on OpenGL I believe.

Linux is not for ETS and the number of people using it for ETS is very small.
TexFix is not for Linux also. Is for some maps under 1.35 chaos. I dont like Windows but i dont like Linux either. For gaming let's admit Windows has all the cards.
BTW, if you read before post, both versions of ROEX have DX11 in the name description. I think is more than clear.

Re: Texture Fix
Guys, I tried DX11 for the first time and we'll. It works very, very well. Flows like water. Now I have a problem: I can't change brightness anymore. Tried via OS base but then anything looks pretty shit. Is there a solution for this?
Don't ask me about my mods. I'll update them as I please, because I can do whatever the **** I want.
Re: Texture Fix
Hi, when i started using roextended and other map mods, all my road textures starting flickering all over the place. Everywhere, not only in the sectors of roextended and other mods. I installed this fix and everything was solved.
But as far as i know, there is no need anymore of this fix? im also using YKRSK 192 that apparently has this fix included? i tried deactivating the texture fix from the mod list since i updated to 192 of Turkey and im getting again flickering roads everywhere. Im also using Naturalux, just in case this is important.
Why is it affecting sectors that are completely foreign to roextended sectors, like promods sectors or even vanilla ones? should i keep seeing flickering roads without this fix? im kinda lost here. Does this fix replace vanilla and promods road textures as well?

@tantalus
The TexFix 3 and it's predecessors weren't ONLY for RoExtended and YKSRSK, it was for ALL maps!
My recommendation is to still use it as many maps has own textures based on SCS ones.

Re: Texture Fix
Vanilla materials for terrain and roads were altered in first ETS 1.35 version and reverted back few updates later. A big hit for moders. TexFix contain reverted textures for vanilla but also for other maps, this is why is so big in size.
Roextended 2.3and Turkey 1.9.2 have this fixed, and we dont use many custom textures now. For 2.2 is needed and for other maps i cant tell.

Re: Texture Fix
Oh i see. Thanks guys, i was still using it since for now im using version 2.2 of roextended but yeah i have things clear now.
But i noticed something strange that i dont know if its related to roextended (its the only thing i updated recently) or texture fix, the sky textures look ok, but the sun and other atmospheric effects are huge, i dont think i was seeing this a few days back, the only thing i changed was updating roextended to 2.2 and reinstall texture fix.
ALSO, in the loading screens, i cant see any picture in its correct size, the roextended logo and all that looks ok, but the screenshot itself looks like if it had a really low resolution scale.
Oh forgot, the other thing i did three days ago was updating my nvidia drivers.. but i dont think that could cause those issues? does texture fix do something with skyboxes and such?

Re: Texture Fix
Nothing is altering skyboxes. The loading screen is modified by Promods this is why looking strange.
