The scale is just a matter of distances and time passing (same road has different lenght in km in 1:1 scale or 1:19 scale and the time to travel pass faster in small scale)
The roads or whatever you build is the same.

So..I'm having a problem
After a couple of hours of work,
I accidentally hit the Run Map button instead of the Save button
After I exit it, I noticed that all the new work is gone along with some old parts

I tried the autosave, all the new work is back except that:
*Materials aren't showing, only nodes > which I can't edit

So the situation is like this:
Either I open the save, build the lost parts
Or, hopefully, I get help to manage to save the autosave!

F8, rebuild map. Save after rebuild. If not, use the sectors from BAK folder.

Thanks I'll give that a try

Edit: I just opened Map Editor and everything is back to normal 😅, and actually i'm grateful for that situation and accidentally pressing the run map buttun, cause last time I pressed it, the game crashed, so that's a plus i know it's working now.
And since I'm still in really early stages of the map I'm considering to get back to 1:1 Scale.
What do you guys think?

1:1 sounds good, but is also a bit big. From Eilat to Naharia is 450 km, so that is 450 km that you have to build like it is in real life, and that is not even counting the rest of the roads in Israel. 1:2 might be better, you don't have to build everything like it is in real-life.

Stick to atleast 1:5 or even 1:10. In 1:1 450km are 9000 km in ETS. You need two lives to built that.
You will drop the project when you have after a year of work a street and two cities. I dont like Standalone maps. Doesnt matter how good they are, you have to little ways to go. It gets boring fast. And with SCS models and Google maps you will be surprised to see the result has no bussines with reality.

Well, I have to decide already in these early stages.
What scale, Standalone/Addon.
I'm having some thoughts about making it an addon, which I prefer if I'm not building a 1:1 map.
If I'm sticking with 1:5 scale I prefer building as an addon.
As I said before 1:1 will be a bit hard for a beginner

So, I have a 3 days holiday coming i'll make a decision before building more areas

Sorry guys but this topic was ON HOLD since I had college exams
and had a problem seeing all road/prefabs setting in the editor cause I had two monitors and it drove me crazy
Now that I sold one of them I can continue working on it
So..yup, stay tuned

If you want to have the properties windows of editor smaller and to have more field of view place this in mod folder.
