Oh and for anyone interested in automatic switching surround and "normal" mode and much more, I can highly recommend this guys work:
https://github.com/terrymacdonald/DisplayMagician
This is funny, I saw this program a while ago and thought it looked really cool, but I wasn't in any rush to switch over to it. Later, I actually wanted to try some of its features, but then I forgot the name of the program! I spent like half an hour looking for it, trying to remember what it was called, but just couldn't find it so I gave up. And now it just randomly pops up here! Weird how things happen.

Anyway, I've added a reference to it in my guide, and I'll probably try it out soon.

I know that feeling just too well :laugh2:
I had this happen before as well with "Helios Display Managment", but the Dev took a long timeout and there wasnt any real alternative at that time and then i totally forgot about it.

But Terry is doing an amazing job there and is putting a lot of effort into DisplayManagment just as you guys do with the AA stuff here.
I appreciate taht work a lot and therefore thought its a good recommendation for anyone who´s tired of the Nvidia "manual switching", at least for those that don´t have a seperate Rig for Driving :smile3:

Hi there! Have a strange issue, using vsync_2 in config, but displays only 64 fps, framerate of my monitor is 144 Hz. Both on ETS2 and ATS.

I want to tell, that I’ve found my problem since updating to windows 11.
My saved file should have not applied the code for direct x aa in NVIDIA inspector. Now I’ve added it manually and it is working now. Saved them now new to my disk and after next driver update, I will have a look if it happens again.

Interesting, that happened to me as well but after I already switched to Win 11
I wonder if Windows Update intervenes in one way or another.
Could´ve still been me changing too much that reset that, but its weird it was the exact same setting for me as for you that got reset, even after reapplying the saved profile.

If you set vsync_0 in config.cfg and set the virtual sync to 1/2 Refresh Rate, it will be 72fps.
Intel i9-10850K OC 5GHz
Asus PRIME Z490-A
G.Skill DDR4-3600 32GB
MSI RTX 3080 VENTUS 3X OC 10G
Samsung SSD m.2 x2

@angryenot - 144 & vsync 2 is 72fps but only if your setup can actually reach 72 to start with or you have a frame limit of 64 set?
Try vsync 3 and see if you get constant 48fps.
Or if you want 60fps.

uset r_mode_refresh "120" <-- to set monitor to 120hz while running the game only
uset r_vsync "2"

NPI vsync settings will take control over game settings if they are not 'app control'.

-------------

WIN 11 no AA
I think, NPI edits get applied to the registry where the driver installs itself, perhaps it's a slightly different path in win 11 and so your old import doesn't work?
Are you using a win 11 specific driver or just win 10?
