[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)

Good to hear that it was the resolution. Sadly you have what we can call a low-end machine
when it comes to heavy antialiasing computations, but do some experimenting, it might at
least be better than what you had. I can tell you that I limit my FPS to 30 and that is giving
me a very smooth experience, but then together with some other settings.

Well, I tested to deactivate DOF, but not much happened, and that is quite
logical, as I've had it on all the time and the changes I've got now came
from the new lighting system introduction.

Yeah, I know my system is very limited but a didn't expect to lose that much performance.
Could you indicate some of the settings you use for that 30 fps smooth experience you have?
I may try it and see if I it suits me aswell.

Start with these two settings, both in config.cfg.
1. r_vsync "2"
2. t_averaging_window_length "60"
Both values goes for the situation when you have a monitor refresh rate of 60Hz!
Also, set the in game Refresh Rate to Default, NOT a specific value!

Thanks! I'll try this out.
I'm using RivaTuner to lock the 30 fps. Should I use other method or is that ok?

Do NOT use RivaTuner to lock, the setting r_vsync will do it for you and you should NEVER
use more than ONE limiter of the FPS, they will then compete and you'll have chaos!
Edit: BTW, which level of AA are you using? 2x or 4x?

Oh I see! I'm using 4x AA and playing ATS (I don't think I mentioned it before).

Well, 4xMSAA+4xSGSSAA is demanding on the FPS, so if you feel that the FPS too
often gets lower than the limited 30, try with 2xMSAA+2xSGSSAA.
BTW, ATS or ETS2 doesn't matter, they should be dealt with in this respect the same.

I tried the 2x AA but in the end I couldn't notice much of
a difference from the base game AA. But I liked the two
changes you suggested before related to vsync. The
game really seems smoother.

Yes, a constant FPS avoids stuttering and screentearing, and the calculation of more frame times to get a more proper
medium value also helps on the smoothness.
