@olaf28

And at the moment you start the game, how much memory is left to use then?
The game is NOT alone wanting to get a share of the memory, so check that first!
- with the general pool of resources memory area at 4000 about 4700mb available and 4900 mb needed for the cache
- with the general pool of resources memory area at 3000 about 5100mb available and 5100 mb needed for the cache

It seems as if there is not enough memory available for the cache with with the general pool of resources memory area at4000? ?

Well mate, take another look at the first post and you'll find the golden rule when using NPI.
Scaling MUST be 100% for it to work properly! As long as you use NPI, NEVER change the Scaling
or enable in-game AA, the SMAA now, MLAA earlier!
Yes I know this 'golden rule' :D
But with the NPI working properly there is a problem with de sun shining through the side support....(same problem as the rain problem?)
I am just trying to help :D

@olaf28

The golden rule concerning Memory Pool size for the game is, MAX half of availabe memory,
which I think I have stated in the first post too, but OBVIOUSLY you have to take into account
what you already have used when starting the game! So, to summarize, Scaling ALWAYS at 100%
and configure Memory Pool for the game to what you have available!

===== The following parameters definition added to first post! =====

I'm sorry I forgot to list this parameter in NPI for the LOD Bias ones to work. :oops:
--- Texture filtering - Driver Controlled LOD Bias -- 'Off' //In order for user defined LOD Bias to be used.

I've also added this one in the global config.cfg file for better shadows. Thanks ykon28!
uset r_sun_shadow_texture_size "8192" //Increases the fidelity of the shadows.
