[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@Shwoopsy
uset r_multimon_mode "4" <-- Set this to "4" - Any other number won't force the game to use the multimon_config.sii file.
Place multimon_config.sii file in the same location as your global 'config.cfg' file (Documents\ATS or ETS2\multimon_config.sii).
If the multimon_config.sii file isn't placed in the correct location then the game will generate a new file that'll be setup for triple monitors.
If that isn't the answer you need, then please provide more context to your question.
For example.
Are you using the first post "step 2" dual monitor file or one of my others files from the:
ADDITIONAL NON STANDARD SCREEN CONFIGURATIONS TO TRY. post.

You could also use the monitor calculator that a1337cookie created after i'd already manually created all the files i've posted on this forum, if you need something different.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Ahhh i was superexcited to try this, and i found out a black screen, on 1.52 game ver.
What a pity.
So there is no other way to activate MSAA?
Waiting for someone to RANDOMLY find the compatibility bits? Really? Like one chance over 1.000.000.000 ...
EDIT: i tried Snowymoon's and ok, it is just a little bit better, maybe. But it is no proper MSAA at all, ofcourse.
What a pity.

For me switching to x2 AA in NPI was helped and solved black artifacts.tonaz wrote: ↑November 25th, 2024, 5:43 pmAhhh i was superexcited to try this, and i found out a black screen, on 1.52 game ver.

BTW after recent updates to 1.53 AA stops working and used template for dual monitors works incorrectly (left monitor twitches)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
I tried x2 as you said (1.52) but didn't worked. Black screen / artifactsù
What other settings in NV and compatibility bits you use?
thanks
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Hi Tonaz,
Absolutely everything same as in guide, except AA settings in Nvidia Profile Inspector:
Antialiasing - Setting -------------------------------- '4x [4x Multisampling]' // - I found x2 works for me
Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling ------ '4x Sparse Grid Supersampling' // -I found x2 works for me]
Also I have restored my Nvidia App to default settings and set all ingame options to 100% scale (instead of 300-400) and mirrors retractions to medium. No compatibility options used, if you you mean modes during .exe running.
On your place I would try different AA settings\modes (as lower, as higher) and Game-graphic options (e.g. shadows), to define on which step artifacts will not be appeared. I remember that in other PC games, where I have faced with artifacts, I have changed AA settings\modes.
