[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Thanks for the welcome mate :)
Made the necessary settings changes, removed ReShade and fired up ETS2...holy shit, so good! My frames have tanked (about half what I was getting previously) but I'm still over 30 so I can live with it. Will have a play with the NVidia filters to see if I can replicate the colour changes I had in ReShade but that's not critical and the overall improvement definitely takes precedence now.
Will bump the changes over to ATS now :D
Fantastic work all round!

Thanks (again) for this great Topic!

When I use it I got this problem with mirrors:

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Hello all what kind of configuration can be used on old nvidia 240 gt who uses 340xx driver???
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@Foxman
Without having any knowledge about how you configured I can't give any advice.
Could you please give me a brief description of what CPU and GPU you have?
Also, if you aimed at high level config from the beginning you might benefit
from lowering some of the settings. Once again thank you for positive report!
@aurelbdx
Hi, to be honest, that was a new mirror experience I haven't seen before!
Could you to start with, give me the game log from a game session when
this phenomena is present? Is it a permanent thing or just popping up every
now and then?
@rakiboy
No mate, I don't think this scheme is for you, Antialiasing is a pretty demanding
process on the system. I'm surprised you even can run the game on that machine.

@BenganJ
Sorry, my comment on the performance wasn't a criticism! I expected a drop given the new settings. For the purpose of comparison, I'm running an Intel 8700K @ 5.0ghz and a 1080ti with 32gb RAM.
Coming back to the frame rate though, I think it's actually locked at 30 somehow so the true framerate may well be quite a bit higher still. Will need to find out where the lock is set.

Oh, I didn't take it as criticism! On the contrary and I think I said that.
I just wanted to help out regarding the FPS. On that kind of hardware
you should definitely NOT having FPS problems. So, please, keep us
informed on what you discover! :D

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Have done a bit more testing in both games to get a feel for how they run and removed the 30fps cap (not sure how I managed to get that wrong haha).
My resolution is 5760 x 1200 using Nvidia surround. All in-game settings currently on high, SMAA disabled.
Using:
4x [4x Multisampling]
4x Sparse Grid Supersampling
So far, both ETS2 and ATS appear to be mostly stable around 30-35fps with dips to 25ish periodically so it is effectively a 50% drop in performance compared to the standard settings. I'll experiment with other settings further over the next few days to see if I'm willing to sacrifice so much performance or downgrade other aspects of the visual quality to compensate.
I am also using several graphics related mods though which will be further influencing the performance so I'll also test without some of these to see what impact they have.
Now that I've seen the results, I'm reluctant to go back to the old settings so I'll try to make it work somehow :D

That sounds like a good strategy and if you report back here, we can also learn
something from it! That's what a community is for! :D Good Luck!
EDIT: BTW, no bezel compensation?
EDIT2: One drawback with Multimonitor setups is that, apart from forcing the game
to render a much larger bitmap, you can probably see both left and right mirrors
which then also put some extra strain on the game to render at all times often 4
more views. It's even worse if you have one or two front mirror(s) too! This is one
reason why I never have a front mirror and am setting cabin view FOV = 50 on my
single monitor setup. Thereby I will only force the system to essentially render
ONE single view and as I'm using headtracking I can easily look into the mirrors
when needed!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
No, I'm using Mode 4 to adjust the angle and position of the cameras which eliminates the need for bezel adjustment :)
I shall report back as I go!
