since this is the thread that people have used to criticize the AI, good news. Looking at the latest SCS blog on Wyoming, they are increasing traffic density and it seems that people have analyzed from one screenshot that they AI is improving at least when it comes to merging in freeways. So we are getting smarter AI and more of the AI.

As a player I AM DONE with this game. I have tried to test the map, in 1 hour i had 3 crashes. I have 30 FPS in parts where I KNOW i had 60 before. On night to day transition the "great" light update is crashing DX11 like crazy. Literally, my GPU driver is buffled by this game.

I love this game
solution to the problem for [dx11] meta_copy: failed to create SRV (0x887a0005) :
"If your GPU has been overclocked by default by the manufacturer, try to disable it." (supposedly works https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=282572)
Roads have not enough corner to use wheel

Almatex, thank you, it worked.
So, i have to downgrade my factory settings on my GPU to play a game who got updated to 1.40 so nice and well, replacing 60 FPS with 30?
I remember testing my map for previous version and i got in Trabzon 50-60 FPS. I have passed yesterday and had 30. I have passed back in night time and had 20.
I have tested new Sinop and in day time i had 50 FPS. Going back later on sunset i had 15 FPS, same street same city!
Traffic maded by SCS, value 1, no mods whatsoever.

You can see Tantalus post in BUGS (because obviously its a ROEX bug) that DNIPRO got laggy and unplayable and the question was WHAT I DID TO IT?
Well, except making it more than a year ago....NOTHING.
He is not gonna use "this mod" because is badly made. Good for him.

But the obvious question is why people got offended about me talking bad about this update when is garbage?
No echos, no sounds on maps, you must redo an entire map placing sounds squares to every bridge and tunnel, or city sounds or sea sounds and so on. WHY?
You can imagine now why Iberia tooked that much to release. IT WASNT THE MAP. It was the remake of the ENTIRE SCS MAP with sounds where we had it before.
They literaly KILLED all FMOD upgrades. They killed the performance.

But...you know...maps are badly made. Even areas maded years ago, for some reason now is bad to play.

I will downgrade to 1.39 and i will do some test with traffic 0 and no mods. Because people add traffic mods who were already killing the FPS (remember my advice time ago? Traffic= -10 FPS, light mods= -10 FPS...atleast).
I will see how great this update is because i am tired of people praising this update who is just pure overbright over an older game.

Test in Dnipro 1.39vs1.40
Conditions:
-same route
-same truck and cargo
-same hour - 2 AM
-same settings on the same PC
-No traffic, NO lights on truck

First run 1.39, second run 1.40
In 1.39 steady 55 FPS with just a drop in 2 AM to a lower 41 FPS for seconds. In day/night or sunset/sunrise...no difference.
In 1.40....
After you see this, ADD new SCS AI lights on traffic, and think if you use an additional traffic or lights mod (not talking about ULFIX here, but stroboscopes and stuff)



Other tests:
10 AM no major differences, 55 FPS with ocasional drops of 10 FPS in 1.40
5 AM if you have sunrise and lights, in 1.40 even worst than the video.

Yes, the 1.40 release has been a damn bad one. The funny thing is though,
that SCS hasn't released a lot of fixes either, so maybe they are busy tapping
each other on their shoulders! :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

I watched the BETA topic day by day, looking for changes it will bring to maps. I never expected to be this bad. No traffic sign on white frame can be readed. You can leave them blank, no one will notice, day or night. No sound on map whatsoever. No lights in tunnels, semaphores (led in Turkey) on trucks, like the sun is erasing all of that.
They had 1.40 beta releases day by day, tunning one stuff, breaking another. The release of 1.40 was doned for IBERIA. They needed money and its clear they dont have time to go back to 1.39 setting, because this...its a plain disaster.
I am still wondering how people got this in a positive way. Even the look of the game its awful. Its way overbright.
What to update? A mess?
