Black Textures On Linux

Apparently that's an OpenGL-related issue and it seems like Arayas isn't willing to convert the textures, but is there any other way to solve this? Sorry if this is a bit of a noob question, I'm not really an IT specialist or anything. :D

There definitely won't be any OpenGL support!
Impossible!

Well, I don't know how hard or time consuming it would be to convert the textures. But yeah, vast majority of people doesn't use OpenGL, they wouldn't even notice or appreciate the effort, so I guess I understand it. Would be nice to get some sort of answer though, be it from the team or regular members of the community. The map is huge and I'd really like to explore it, especially since I paid for Roex.
I noticed that when using Proton, I can run the game using DirectX (or DXVK, i guess), so I might be on the right track, but now the game only recognizes my Workshop mods. Any help would be appreciated and if I manage to solve this on my own, I'll post a solution here, in case anyone has the same problem.
EDIT: Oh yeah, think I got it! Proton creates another, empty mod folder, so you need to move/copy your mods there. The folder is here: /home/(username)/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/227300/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod/

The OpenGL is a non gaming platform so we are not gonna waste time and screw things for that.
On the site there is a clear note we dont develop the map related to OpenGL so its your choice.
