Manifest.sii and compatibility
Manifest.sii and compatibility
Could you please help me and explain how to figure out with mentioned below case:
I downloaded mod (it is for 1.36) and wanted to make it compatible with 1.37 (It is Naturalux graphic mod).
Files of mod are locked and using SCS unlocker I converted them
But trying to open manifest.sii it reflect not readable symbols neither in standard editor nor in hex one.
The mod have to be worked in 1.37 but still not updated and manifest change have to solve the issue
I've tried to google it but no similar cases found.

Re: Manifest.sii and compatibility
Probably the unlocker did not do the job correctly.
Try as following with the original locked scs file.

Should I just change on 6 to 7 in shown on picture point (the only found as text string) and it will work?:)

Yes. You can also change just the text string on the right and it will change the file as well.

Re: Manifest.sii and compatibility
Wait a second, this is not the mainfest entry, don't change that. Search for 1.36 again, and in plain text you should find this:
compatible_versions[]: "1.36.*"..}..}
And change that
compatible_versions[]: "1.36.*"..}..}
And change that
Re: Manifest.sii and compatibility
Yes it was not manifest. That the problem that I can't access manifest as plain text since it locked and when I tried to unlock it failed:)paokkerkir wrote: ↑May 27th, 2020, 2:10 pmWait a second, this is not the mainfest entry, don't change that. And there is not any other 1.36 in hex files

Re: Manifest.sii and compatibility
What about "compatible_versions" (search for that in hex editor)? Are you opening the locked archive or the one you tried to unlock?

Guys, at least I don't like this open discussion here. Could you please transfer
it to PM instead, until Arayas has had his opinion on this?

Re: Manifest.sii and compatibility
I dont have a problem with manifest editing. For most locked mods it doesnt work, you will get a damaged archive.
This is a trick for personal use. We dont publish anything illegal here.
