GAME CRASH - POST HERE! ATTACH A GAMELOG!!

Hi guys, I need your help! I hope this is the right place, because I have the impression that you guys know what you are doing! :)

I came back to ETS2 since years and try to get it running, spent 6-7 hours yesterday, but it still crashes on opening the map, contracts and even content browser.
And apologies in advance, this is going to be a long post, because I want to give you guys as much info as possible...

I am on Win10, steam, DX11 64-bit. Every DLC is present, ETS2 version 1.48.5.76s temporay
Intel i5-4690K - 32GB - Pagefiles 4976-16384 - GF 980 GT XTi 6GB

For the background map: I tried every map I could find, each with Zoom Crash Fix where necessary, but results are the same:

- ProMods native map + Zoom Crash Fix
- ProMods High Quality Background Map 1.7.1 by DOWL et.
- ProMods Complete Afroeurasia Background Map 2.2 by DOWL etc.
- BackgroundMap+ZoomFix 1.48.23.10 by Graschi
- Colored Map for ProMods 2.67 + Zoom Crash Fix 1.0 by Joesecarp
- Worlds Combined Background Map v1.1 (CURRENT)

I also don't really know if all the road and/or ferry connections are correct or if I need more... Or less??
I have lost the overview if I missed something, things are really getting complicated

After trying for a while and did some more research I also followed GMC's Pre-Setup Information https://www.gmc-logistics.co.uk/pre-setup:

- config.cfg: r_buffer_page_size "50"
- launch options: -64bit -nointro -unlimitedlog -rdevice dx11 -mm_pool_size 16384 -mm_max_resource_size 32 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000

Look here for a correct loadorder: Mod Manager Order : viewforum.php?f=15

For instance GMC Logistics Tutorial Eurasia, Global or Ultimate loadorders are tested and are working good.

BTW: What`s that ????? ROEX395pay-core <-- THIS IS NO ORIGINAL ROEX FILE!!!

Have you managed to resolve this? I have the exact same issue in the general area, the difference is that I'm going down south to the ME territory. Not using GMC's, self-built combo here. Log attached. Cheers!

and change your other steam options:

No dice. Image of the crash is attached, see waypoint. It does crash faster than before now and the game appears faster in general too, so thanks a lot for the link, this'll be put to good use.

My advice (back to the roots ) Load only Background mod,Hybrid2, ROEX, Rusmap and Promods. Should work.

What I meant by that is "nothing changed", as in still crashing

I really didn't want to do this but yeah, the mod in question was "Realistic Signs". IIRC it is supposed to remove trash bags and red crosses from vanilla signs. I don't think my map combo uses any vanilla signage though so the big question now is why I even had it enable in the first place... No longer crashing but the log is exactly the same, so my guess this wasn't even in the log to begin with. Cheers mate

This is more and more the case, that additional mods causes crashing.

You need to understand a thing: a map is crashing or has errors in editor, if something is wrong, we know before release, so its pretty safe. Map conflicts...well a good fix or road connection overcomes that also. What is left? Mods.

That was my bet in a nutshell, this exact combo worked for nearly two years so I was more ready to believe it's a road connection issue that slipped under the radar rather than a mod... but here we are
