Changing background map for the editor

Hello everyone,
At the moment I am trying to make a map of the UAE in ETS2, and I need some help with the background map for the editor.
Namely, is it possible to change the europe_bgn.dds image and recentre it somehow to allow for more space at the bottom or is this image unalterable in terms of centration?
Also, if it were to be possible to properly scale and intergrate the background map for the editor, wouldn't that mean that other maps like ProMods which have a different offset would have roads built in the Gulf offset wrong as well or is this adjustable when making the UI map for the actual game?
I hope I explained myself clearly enough, but just know, I'm not a pro when it comes to map scaling as you can see :)
Cheers!

@mcelcreeper
UAE, United Arab Emirates? I've already made a Map Editor, ME, background for UAE and Oman, properly registered too to the
map projection SCS has specified! Are you in any way in contact with the Road to Asia team?

No, not yet... where is this .dds available and the editor data file?

Okay, this is the coverage and look of the ME BG I made.

That looks great!
I'm thinking of integration into europe.mbd, so is there any way I could get this image properly scaled into the Europe map so that it is aligned with it's correct geographical position?

@mcelcreeper
Why would you like to have this merged into the europe_bgn.dds?

I possibly wasn't clear enough–I don't want it to be a standalone map–I want it to be integrated into europe.mbd. Therefore, I'm thinking that this background would help me trace out the exact relative distance from the other parts that SCS has already built. Or is this not possible? Should I then just do like @b738pilot and use a ruler to measure out the position of it? Or is it possible that I develop the map on a seperate .mbd and integrate those map sectors from the standalone into europe.mbd?

@mcelcreeper
You would have NO use for all the europe map BG when mapping down there! Tell me what
you plan to connect the UAE map to, ferry or road connection? I might make you a new better
suited BG then.

By ferry is the plan, as Saudi Arabia is massive! Thank you so much, but how exactly would you go about this, then? Are you able to ensure that the editor background is still centered about Europe (so that the same place as always in Germany is in center)?
Edit: oh, and by the way, if the mentioned is the case, would that still mean that the location of the developed roads would still look correct if ProMods were used?

@mcelcreeper
If I would map UAE, I would decide what I should connect to, get a proper sector where the connection would takeplace,
borrow that sector into my own creation of UAE. Then map UAE and during that creation I would use a standalone name
of uae while working. To make it an addon map when checking it out in game and as a mod, it's a simple question of renaming
the map to europe.This way you don't have to drag around with the whole SCS Vanilla or Promods map during the mapping
of UAE! In the end I would then create a separate road connection mod to connect it to the rest of Europe!
