Re: Map Editor Background

Hi.

I'm having a problem with custom background in ets2 1.38 i have tried using my zamap.mbd on the europe.mbd in editor_data.sii as well as [ "/material/editor/za.mat" ] for my background . The ME crashes but if I go with default [europe] the ME opens and i'm able to do a save.

@STEVEO

Nothing should have changed between 1.37 and 1.38 regarding this, so I must ask you,
are you using the full arguments list when starting the ME, including -force_mods?

I have the exact same problem. Every file is in the correct filder, the arguments are correct, but it won't show the background, and it show a huge t"tecture not found" image (the one with the red background and black letters)

Thank you for the welcoming! I have been reading the forums for a long time, but I didn't have much to write about so far.

Just to clarify the problem started after updating to 1.38. Also you will find quite a few errors about companies and movers that are known, and will be corrected.

Here you can find the editor.log.txt

Ah, the good ol' Ultimate Greece map mod that I ran quite some time ago, both before and after Santorini was added.
As far as can see, you haven't got any own background map. Is that correct? Further I would recommend you to add the
following argument to your startup of the editor.

Code: Select all

-noworkshop
That in order for subscribed mods in the Workshop to have any impact! As you startup with -edit greece you won't get the
normal SCS background to load if you don't fix that in your editor_data.sii file. Can I see that file too, please?

Yes, tahta map. We made a first release with a few cities so far (for 1.36 and 1.37) but we keep adding stuf and pushing for the second release.
That quarantine we had in Greece made a lot of good for that map

On the topic now.
I added the -noworkshop, nut the only thing I had was a Greek voice for the GPS.

As for the map, I have created the dds, tobj and mat files which where added in the materials/editor folder. Also made the needed changes in the editor_data file.

Of course you can see it. here it is

Thanks for the help!!!! I just found my problem!

The editor_data was names editor_data.sui instead of editor_data.sii

I will show our work in the correct sub-board in the next days!

Hello.
Regarding this map editor, is it possible to put a map background instead of black or red, in order to be able to correctly follow the contours provided ..?
Thank you
