RGM4.0 has been tested.
It hasn't changed much from 3.0 in my old eyes. :(
If you write English in a long sentence, you will make mistakes, so make a list.

The test map mod is RoExtended2.4 and YKSRSK1.9.5.

NPI used Bengan's settings. Config.cfg remains standard.

Image sharpening in the NVIDIA Control Panel is on.

Graphics mod used is RGM4.0 + Promods Add-on 2.1 Pj Next Gen 2.0 base + line

-------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------
Perhaps the humidity at which the scene becomes whitish has decreased slightly?

Does the dashboard look a bit bright? But still dark.

No difference in hue, saturation, or color depth.

The painting on AI cars is still dull. Many cars look like matte paint.

This time, no difference was found in the blue sky, cloud sky, sunrise, and sunset. Is RGM a light blue sky?

Many commented that night stars were not visible in the past. All 4.0 looks like a big planet.
(I myself had no problem in the past version with stars in the night sky)

The RGM image quality I was used to from the very beginning of the game. :)

@clear F1

May I ask if the NCP sharpening values was the default or did you change anything?

The NPI remains at your settings and the Nvidia control panel is ON, with the sharpening value unchanged. This is used after it can be set in the control panel.

But the BIG question now,

Is RGM FULLY compatible with map mods out of promods??? like rusmap, SR, roextended, etc, etc that is the problem using graphic mods, and the reason i avoid many of them. Sadly the only one that seems to have full skybox compatibility with all mods is realistic brutal weather. In other graphic mods, sooner or later it will popup a low resolution skybox because of this problem, some skyboxes will work, others wont...

I cant use naturalux because of this, and im stuck with realistic brutal weather for this reason (honestly i like this one more and more as i play but im open to others). Im waitiing for RGM and Realistic Experience Mod to see if those mods are fullty compatible with ets2 map mods.

Also, has the moon skybox improved in RGM? because skyboxes with an hyperpixelated moon were completely horrible in 3.0...

@clear F1

Well my friend, now that you have tested RGM 4.0, what is your opinion?
I watched your long video and my view is that it looked pretty good, but
how about tantalus question about how skyboxes work on different maps?

EDIT: What surprised me a bit was that the clouds were never white, grayish all the time, even in
plain sunshine!

Sorry, I didn't understand all of their comments.
Impression? It is as comment. It is my favorite without any problem in color, color density, etc.
Only Realistic Vehicle Lights Mod is built in, so I just think AI lights, street lights and traffic lights are good.
Poor matt painting on AI cars.
Skybox? Am not interested. Test yourself.
It's out of my reach.
Honestly, I can't see the difference between 3.0 and 4.0. I didn't even notice any differences between Promods and compatible mods.
I use RGM in the same way I use my favorite maps.
If there is a mod that eliminates horizontal waves and flickering in other graphics mods, use that.

You already tested it.. thats why i was asking (or did you just recorded the video without even playing or paying attention at all?). Skyboxes are one big important part of any graphic mod (and the main flaw of the previous version of realistic graphics mod) .. and you dont care? :o my sugesstion would be, that if you really dont care you could just use some reshade presets and call it a day. You dont need a graphic mod at all. If you cant see the difference between skyboxes.... :lol: :?

Sooner or later i will try it out yeah, but im afraid it is not going to be compatible with map mods, since it already needed a compatibility patch for promods 2.43... so...

And no, there is not a single mod that eliminates the random flickering and "horizontal" lines as you call it (i guess you talking about shimmering). I wish there was... :evil:

@tantalus

Please, take it easy! clear F1 is from Japan, and Google Translate does not always
make an optimum translation. That sentence sounded harsh, but that was NOT what
clear F1 meant, I can assure you!
