It took me some time to wrap my head around “load order”. So you want the English names as example overwrite the names in the def. this means it needs higher priority then the def, so translation over def files. The load order the game uses starts from the bottom, if I understand correctly. Meaning in simple information rus map def is under ProMods because it needs to be loaded before ProMods def loads( ProMods def when u create it has that rusmap check mark), so it will check for rusmap def. another good example is Roex, Roex overwrites some Areas in ProMods. To do so ProMods needs to be loaded, that’s why Roex above ProMods. Sorry for the rent I just think many don’t see the connections her and that’s why they struggle, or have the wildest load orders you can imagine.

Certain things are mandatory like the position of the mod in load order. Because many maps have the same definition, cities and so on. Any file placed in wrong place is reason for instant crash or missing roads. Newbees always consider road connections to be a road to connect 2 maps. Thats never the case. If Paris city is defined in 2 maps under the same name obviously it will crash the game. This is why an RC between those 2 maps contain the city definition from one of the maps, a file where Paris definition was erased. This is why RC are ALWAYS ABOVE the maps it connects (preferably with no other maps between, but not mandatory) because in this case the edited definition file is loaded by the game overwriting the original one.
So nothing is random.
PS: the fixation on placing RusMap definition file under Promods its a Promods creation, to make sure their edited files are looking as it should. If RusMap has the same luck, good, if not.....bad luck.

Yeah, in that case RusMap kicked back.
I still dont understand why Sergey released 2.4.1 of RusMap for that, it was easy just to update his Rc with an edited Promods file...

I was wondering the same. Special after i looked into the Pro-mods released fix, I was like oh cool easy and just added there fix to his Road Connection. And then he released the update and I was like ok that's a solution too, but a unusual one.

I assume that Rusmap 2.41 also fixes some found and reported issues in 2.40 and it is much better (at least for me) than changing only map file as a fix with replacement (as twas done before). Another point that those legacy definitions will still be presented in core map for future if the RC only changed. Correct me if I'm wrong. I never create maps

I have this problem aswell... apparently its because of SZM addon. The rusmap works fine for me when I diasbled the SZM addon.
