Road Kovel - Brest will not appear, because Siedlce, border and part of that road are in the same sector which would make Arayas have to do a lot more road connection than planned.

Brest will not be connected because is a common sector for Promods and RusMap already existing road connection. Including ROEX there it will complicate things even further.
Second, roads are "bended" to avoid destroying Promods area and also to keep my borders out of the connection sectors, this way i dont have to remake them every time i edit the RC.
Third, you cannot "enter" a city with a new connection in any point. You must choose a low density area to connect your road. Otherwise you have to destroy or rebuilt a big part of the Promods city (or whatever map) just to make it "realistic". Maybe in that area are companies, garages and so on.
The gray area is Promods map, not mine. So, this is how the map will look.

Sience some people have trouble with reality strokes, i'm having a hard time adapting the map for 1.35. It works like usual in 1.34 but crashes in 1.35.
SCS changed alot of definitions, even syntaxes and now we have prefabs without textures or invisible models, movers are now in many categories, the simple policeman is complicated now, linked to a group with a country tag.
I've planned to be ready for his weekend but not a chance.
I have a loooooooooooong list of items "not present" in sign templates and i have no clue where to start to fix those, mostly because the templates from the vanilla game were replaced by SCS under the same name. (probably when they updated the signage in Germany and North).
They changed the MAT files also, many models/prefabs/buildings who are using a bit of SCS material (like a concrete over or brick over, or a vanilla fence in gas stations....) are "no texture" right now because the MAT files from vanilla game in 1.34 are not present in 1.35.
Custom vehicles are destroyed, even i converted almost all of my materials in this point.

Honestly, this is the first time i understand why some of the maps are discontinued because of this SCS behavior. Atleast, they could add new sign templates and MAT files, keeping the old ones functional.

Damn, that doesn't sound good! But we will wait, so take the time you need
to get it in shape. You can always skip sun-bathing and look gloomy as hell after
the summer, but have a nice map to look at, or you can take the map with you
when sun-bathing, then the map will look pale at the end. Seriously Arayas,
we will be here waiting patiently not asking even a single time when the map
is ready! Maybe I should take a more thorough look at my little map thing, so
far I thought it almost worked in 1.35 too. Keep at it Arayas! :D

It's not about "when" Bengan, is about "if".
Sience last night i'm looking at my map crashing in some areas with <ERROR> [dx11] Failed to create texture (0x80070057).
Problem is the error doesnt point to the broken material. Other people have the same problem. https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php ... &p=1157564
Piva makes the exact same point: the error is generic and is followed by the game crash.
It's a "broken" texture, but wich DDS file to verify? I have hundreds. EDIT: 3490 pieces. :roll:
The DX11 is stupid, it doesnt know to "read" a texture who was fine in DX9. And is not even reacting like a missing texture error and move on. No. It's simply crashing the game.
I didnt work like a maniac the last 3 months to release a broken map crashing from a dds file. And i dont know where they are. The crashes are in random places, so it's more than one problem.
I thought this will be a Rebuild Map case with -convert comand added to the shortcut. That was simple. This? IDK. I'm more and more convinced to put this project on hold.

Sure Arayas, I see your point very well, but the fact is that DX11 is EXPERIMENTAL,
so as I see it, you could VERY well state at release of v2.2 for v1.35 that your map
MUST be played with DX9! PERIOD! There's NOTHING, as I see it, that say you HAVE
to support DX11 at this state of affairs! Think about it, please! Don't quit just for an
EXPERIMENTAL feature! I will stay on DX9 for as log as it takes SCS to implement an
acceptable AA solution in the game and I REALLY WANT to be able to play on your
excellent map! PERIOD again! :D

1.35 is like a delicious cake with some nice toppings (Voice Navigation, Sardinia), but if you take a bite, then you know that the filling is metal and that you have no teeth afterwards.

I have batch converted all 3.490 files by XnConvert saving my DDS with standard DDS, with no mipmaps. The map it doesnt crash in the points i am certain i had previous crashes. Even my editor background is working and loading screens also (not functional until that).
Visually all is looking like before, even a little better (the signs for example are more opaque, not having that tint of glow like before).

One solved, more to come. (templates arrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!)

I gotta see what that XnConvert is! seems to be a nice
tool! :D

EDIT: I've used that one before, ages ago. There's a follow-up-er
called XnView MP, do you use that one Arayas? Besides XnConvert!
