No, i am not updating the game to beta, unless i have a full version ready, wich is not the case. But great news.....i am starting to re-consider driving a real truck IRL and forget about this game....fix after fix after fix......
And for what? What i have read in SCS forum seams to be a shitshow with lights.

I consider that despite the noisy minority, the changes brought by 1.40 are very remarkable, and in the right direction. I've been playing with mods for years that change textures, vegetation and weather (ProjectNG: Photorealistic Experience Mod in my case) to make the game more graphically attractive. I started a new profile without any mod, and the truth is that in the 4 hours that I have been with 1.40 I am not missing them at all. It is also true that I am mostly traveling in Germany, and not in the older parts of ETS2. It still has some bugs, it's true, but I'm counting on them to be corrected in the next few weeks.

SCS changes things with each update, it is true, but it is not simply for annoying. It's for making the gaming experience better.

Clearly, that has collateral effects, and mods take a lot of work to adapt, just as SCS has to change the base game with each mod. But they should think above all about improving the game for their clients, and deep down the vast majority appreciate it, despite, as I said, the protesting and noisy minority.

What would be the alternative? Do nothing, and leave the game as is, without any improvement. Other companies do this, and every year they release a new version, which you have to buy to have, which contains more or less the same, but with those small improvements that SCS makes for free.

You know I respect your work, and I will love to enjoy it with each new version of the game. Obviously, that will be your decision.

The decision will be to keep up with the game, what do you think? My problem is the things they choose to update. Fmod, i dont give a shit about it, yeah echo in the tunnels, big deal. This update about "light" i dont care about it at all. They replaced red glow with blue one? SSAO, graphic "improvements"....fails.
I watched Clumsy video about it, i didnt see anything important but bugs. And yeah, how you can read a book at 23.00 hour with SCS "nights".
Pedestrian crossing streets, maybe even with traffic lights crossing, more than 3 vehicles on road, REAL AA, real traffic headlights, real traffic behaviour (the dumbest traffic i have seen in a game, with AI giving way for nothing, braking when i overtake the vehicle behind it) the odd way buses and trucks make turns.
x weeks ban if you got 3 speed tickets, real economy (75.000 for a delivery its a joke), 45 minutes pause after 4.5 driving hours (anywhere, even side road) and than the rest of 9 hours.
I like how people are focused in "realism" when this game layout now has nothing to do with trucking job.
