Project Greenland is a completely different project than SFIGC. Quite better in quality IMO.

Is there any chance you could update Project Greenland too? Xoryx, its author told me he would let someone continue it.

What map mod adds Canary Islands?

Others maps do those things too and their costs aren't as high (or they are straight free).

A little explanation for this version. We haven't added anything locally. Our goal was to adapt to patch 1.46, fix bugs with too large terrains, fix other bugs and along the way fix noticed gaps in textures. However, such gaps (I think there are many left). And of course, leave a stable connection ...
