Certainly! I'm quite busy myself and this is more of a hobby for me, and having a background map ready to go would be amazing!
Thank you so much for all your work and I look forward to seeing your awsome result!

Re: Changing background map for the editor
I’m sorry, I don’t quite follow which of the two options I will have to choose. Should I measure out the exact position of Abu Dhabi and copy that map sector which is created or start on an empty map?
And, really, thanks for all this help—I am really grateful for you taking all this time!

Re: Changing background map for the editor
So, for now, should I just start an empty uae.mbd with the beautiful BG you gave before and then we’ll figure out how to integrate the map sector later on or do I need to create a map sector in europe.mbd in its proper place and then export it into my uae.mbd?

Re: Changing background map for the editor
Say cheers to him! Anyway, so the "map projection specifications by SCS" mean that the background map could reflect the UAE's true position while also fitting into Europe exactly as the normal europe_bgn.dds would? And, yes, I will only be developing the UAE for now, so if it is possible to develop ...

Re: Changing background map for the editor
That seems like a plan, but if I were to say, -edit europe, then measure out with a ruler the distance from the furthest point on the developed map (probably Turkey) and then create a new sector waaaaay downm, would I then be able to somehow get a background map if I took that newly created map sect...

Re: Changing background map for the editor
By ferry is the plan, as Saudi Arabia is massive! Thank you so much, but how exactly would you go about this, then? Are you able to ensure that the editor background is still centered about Europe (so that the same place as always in Germany is in center)? Edit: oh, and by the way, if the mentioned ...

Re: Changing background map for the editor
I possibly wasn't clear enough–I don't want it to be a standalone map–I want it to be integrated into europe.mbd. Therefore, I'm thinking that this background would help me trace out the exact relative distance from the other parts that SCS has already built. Or is this not possible? Should I then j...

Re: Changing background map for the editor
That looks great!
I'm thinking of integration into europe.mbd, so is there any way I could get this image properly scaled into the Europe map so that it is aligned with it's correct geographical position?
