@iMarbot

Now you made me sad too, a corrupt profile is not something to be glad for!
Please, report back if you get the profile working properly again!
So I added ROS (plus RCs) and now it is broken again (on new profile) like in the original video/images where North pole is in East China :(

Re: World Background Maps

@iMarbot Odd, very odd, as I would have been flooded with reports about this if this was common, so please, to avoid the possibility of your profile been "corrupt" by now, create a totally new profile with no mods, start it up and check if the three alternatives of Map alignment works as supposed. ...

@iMarbot

Yep that fast flipping rotation you will get when too high up north!
I removed ROS and now "Always North" and "North Locked" do not work at all. They both are identical to "Flat".

Edit: Here's a video showcasing that too.

Yes, that should not be the way to display the map. Question. As ROS has data very high up North,
do you get this phenomena without ROS too?
Here is a video of what I mean about location of North Pole, will test without ROS now.

Re: World Background Maps

@iMarbot Mate, after I posted the answer I took a look at your image and tried to find you anywhere there. Why? Because, "Always north" is what you get when you draw a line from where you are, the "center of everything" to the North Pole. So, if you are somewhere out in the eastern part of ROS and ...

Re: World Background Maps

@iMarbot Interesting mate! I've heard about it, but NEVER had that phenomenon myself. Questions. 1. You have the SAT BG at the very TOP of Mod Manager? 2. And as you say Map alignment at Always North? If you attempt to move the map up to the North Pole, it WILL flip, but that's obviously NOT what y...

Re: World Background Maps

I'm losing my mind over "map alignment" in settings. I don't know if this mod is the cause of this but I don't know a better place to ask. Prior to v1.4 the "Always North" and "North Locked" would almost never work and it would just show flat except once in a blue moon (but it was correct North in t...

Re: ROS 7.8 for ETS 1.37

Hey, I've recently updated my map combo with the usual Promods/Rusmap/SO/Roex etc. and added ROS today in line with Womabats latest video. I was driving down to Shisselburg to start a haul however on the road north of the city my truck clipped through the road into the abyss, and then soft crashed ...

Re: ROS 7.8 for ETS 1.37

With Wombat`s Promzona fix, it looks quite good: Thank you! now it works! :dance2: roads near Uralsk were fixed. But I looked at Promzone that there was a cut road, I couldn't test it but I looked at the map, I leave a picture Test by placing a gps marker on one side of the gap and then another on ...

Re: ROS 7.8 for ETS 1.37

Anyone have any idea what the difference between the Promods/pieter versions of Promzona 7 are? The promods one includes the ROS map data (like previous versions) so I assume it must replace stuff all over the ROS map with promods stuff or something? That's just a guess though, hence my question. An...
